    Solid parings there scum captain.

I will see your GK, and raise you one grizzled Master Sargent - Dotty (Rookie, 11.0)

Hardboiled, he is already overcooked, Ned (1-0-0, 9.9) is going to finish him off.

For match 5 and 6, I will call upon the North's most destructive double agents:
Nudgee (0-0-1 (for the scum), 8.5)
Ploppy Pat (0-1-0 (for the scum), 7.4)

Nudgee (8.5) will find it tough against DannyCallaz (debut, 4.6)

    Match 7 and 8 Nominations

The most beautiful man in all of Melbourne, Shadesy (1-0-0, will be partnered by the greatest organiser there is, LeftyHoges (2-1-0, 0.2)

The south might bring their gun in Lefty, but you never bring a gun to a Howitzer fight.

To take down Lefty, the North removes the covers off it heavy artillary, the Howitzer Himself, Matty3Jab (1-0-0, 3.1)

There is an story where the young bull races down to the yard to have himself a cow. Then there is the old bull from the north who saunters down and takes them all.

The hottest man in the the North Gammon (2-0-0, 13.5) to prevail in the sexiest battle of the 2016 civil war.

    Next up,
    The Captain (2-0-0, 10.6)
    Wanandnic (Rookie, 14.1)

    Match 9 and 10

After playing the sympathy card in 2015, Captain Nemo will find it very very tough against the man most fired up for this event, Simmsy (9.3)
The call up off the emergencies bench WazandNic will be getting a few shots from the local hotshot and fellow Uncivil War rookie, Pingsta (6.6)

    Match 11 and 12

I nominate last years defeated captain Monsta (1 win, 2 losses, 10.0), who will be seeking his revenge, ably partnered by Nagambies finest OldRacer (1 win, 17.4)

Monstas are scary. Ferrets are frightening. The North's mysterious secret weapon Ferrins (Rookie, 10.0) will continue the agony of last years vanquished captain.

In the battle of the pensioners, our oldest, whitest, most nonchalant member Peppas (0-1-1, 14.4) will wipe out Stalled-Racer.

    Call to arms:
She floats like a butterfly, she stings like a sledgehammer, Shazza_Rs (1-1-0, 13.1)
The rock of the north, DCanto (Rookie, 11.9)

    Match 13 and 14

The Northern Belle herself, ShazzaRS with a 1-1-0 record and handicap of 13.1 will find it tough against a fellow Queenslander but now Confederate in 3PuttPete who is an UCW Rookie off 12.7

DCanto (11.9), making his debut, will play like fellow Cairns GC spuds Courty, Solarman and Hayesy, and find himself on the end of a hiding from the King of Bling himself, LoveGolf2012 (debut, 8.

In match 15 and 16, I nominate The UNDEFEATED Andigold (1-0-2) and the long bombing Spanner039 (0-2-2, 12.1)

Andigold, soon to be known as Andisilver, as he gets left behind battling for first loser, by the runaway freight train PeteyD (1-0-1 ,13.9)

You put a metric Spanner on an imperial nut you gain no purchase. And here he will gain no purchase on the North's imperial nut, Courty (0-3-0, 5.7).

And bringing it home, after our infantry has destroyed the enemy, we'll mop up the stragglers with a pair of tanks.
Our wrecking ball fuelled by the Great Northern Brewery, SundayHack (Rookie, 9.6)
    And our quiet assassin, Peter_RS (2-1-0, 10.3)

And so to match 17 and 18 - its a last but definately not least, as every match and every point is critical.

We have the northerner Pete_RS with an imposing 2-1-0 record and a handicap of 10.3 (ya what?), taking on the rookie Noren (, who unlike his good mate MrBluu, will open his record with a resounding victory!
And the final match sees another rookie SundayHack (9.6) taking on another seasoned 3 time uncivil war veteran, Captain Blisters himself, BenM (0-2-1, 8.7), who will make good and record his and Tasmania's first ever victory in the Uncivil War.

So there we have it. 18 exciting matches, 18 exciting points, plus 4BBB, plus the Fireball to be announced on the day.

Likewise LG2012. See you on the field of battle, to be followed by time in the bar of reconciliation.

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

All good. Hopefully the weather will play its part and we can see Metro at its best. Very much looking forward to playing this course.
