Not reading a caddies book especially someone that is a nobody that held on to the coattails of a superstar

I wouldn't read his book either, however apparently how Na said it went down in SI basically mirrors how Williams said it went down in his book.

Pretty sure that Williams has a clear understanding of his role as a caddy having looped for three No1s. Norman, Woods and Scott pursued him. I found his book very informative, especially the comments from the players he worked for. I would recommend his book to any golfer who is interested in the world of professional golf. The book doesn't skirt around issues and incidents, which I found refreshing. The writing is very blue collar and Anzac.

No-one goes to watch a caddie especially him .
Made a millionaire by Tiger then took more money to stab him in the back , no loyalty , thank god Scotty has gotten rid of him
Are you seriously suggesting one caddie is a bigger problem than slow play?!? Ridiculous statement.
No loyalty?!? The guy was the best man at his wedding and he fired him over the phone. Someone did not show loyalty, that person was not the caddy.

Not his job to converse with other golfers though.

Pretty much anyone on tour would have told him to shut the **** up; just like The Mechanic did when Keegan's caddy spoke up.

On the course, whilst they're playing, I would agree. The scoring tent is not and he can say what he wants, which he did.

It's like the cleaner of a corporation voicing his opinion to another CEO as soon as the meeting is adjourned.

Not his place to voice an opinion, in my opinion.

How many CEO's do you know that give 5-10% to the cleaner? How many CEO's invite cleaners into their meetings? I don't think your comparison is valid.

Being a great caddie has nothing to with him being a prick. The 2 things can co-exist and Steve Williams comes across as a real prick.

    Meanwhile, Jordan Spieth?

Maybe somebody can start a 'How good is Steve Williams" thread?

.... about 2 shots less good than Rory, 3 shots less good than the big Swede and 3 shots less good than a suave amateur with some funky clubs today.

    Gooderer than 119 others though.

How good is he: very good.

How slow is he: very slow.

    http://www.golfdigest.com/story/jord...ow-play-policy

And FWIW Steve Williams is an employee whose only job is to turn up, keep up and shut up. Nothing more. The fact he gets a cut of his boss' earnings doesn't change that. The player's agent also gets a cut. Doesn't mean it's appropriate for some bloke in a suit from IMG to give another player a spray either.
Cinderella story, out of nowhere, former greenskeeper, now about to become a Masters champion..... It looks like a mirac.. It's in the hole! It's in the hole!

Can't believe Rory said he's NOT a slow player! Rory's already practicing to be in politics by the looks of it.
