hahaha, I'll take that. My preshot routine will need a bit of work.

And Allenby might be a monumental tw*t. But he isn't boring.

3 was the only footage I bothered to watch. I would find JS a lot more entertaining if he did that occasionally.

    I am persistent.

Our American workmates are home for the night, but when they get to work tomorrow morning, they should be able to answer the question of who they know and dont know.

This should allow a null conclusion to be declared, and we can go around in circles a little bit more tomorrow.

The really good part of this thread is that it is moving the Ozgolf needle.

And to answer your question, it is a little slow, especially since the Qld champs venues are taking for ever to ring me back so I can confirm bookings and make an announcement.

Interesting that the thread has gone from being how good they guy is to bashing him for being boring. Tall poppy syndrome alive and well.

Talking about how good he is is good but boring. Talking about how boring he is is pointless but more exciting.

It's an art imitates life imitates golf thing.

That's what interest me the most about this thread. I am not bashing his ability, nor am I bashing the fact he seems to be a nice guy. I acknowledge he is an awesome golfer.

I can't help that I find the way he plays his golf, and the way he goes about things, generates little interest from me. Sorry. I spose it's different strokes for different folks.

It's like meeting me in real life. I am the best at perpetuating threads based on people opinions, but in real life, I am boring as bat shit. People thinking that way isn't them "knocking me from my pedestal".

    Test average and strikerate

    Jacques Kallis 55.37 @ 45.97
    David Warner 51.37 @ 77.07

Was Kallis great? Unquestionably. Was he exciting compared to Warner. No way in the world.

    What is a null conclusion?

I have heard about a null hypothesis, but never a null conclusion.

You shouldn't survey any additional people because you are blatantly biased in the research process itself.

You are correct in that this discussion has moved the needle in a good way.

What would you know? I just did a survey. The chick next to me has no idea who Kallis is but knows Warner. "Isn't he a cricket?"

Your research is flawed because you're not South African!

Ok people, time to put this to bed once and for all. I have conducted the mother of all experiments that will close the issue once and for all.

Question 1: Name the 5 golfers who played the best in the last 5years.
    Question 2:
Name the 5 golfers who excited you the most in the last 5years.
Question 3: Name the 5 golfers who excited you the least in the last 5years.

    1st Respondant:
    Q1:
    In no particular order:
    Tiger Woods
    Rory McIlroy
    Jason Day
    Jordan Speith
    Adam Scott

    Q2:
    In no particular order:
    Tiger Woods
    Rory McIlroy
    Jason Day
    Victor Dubuisson
    Bubba Watson

    Q3:
    In no particular order:
    Keegan Bradly
    Zach Johnson
    Jordan Speith
    Marc Leishman
    Luke Donald

Survey was stopped at one, because it was myself.

    Conclusions:
    1. In my opinion, I think Jordan Speith is a very talented golfer.
    2. In my opinion, I don't find Jordan Speith exciting, and through linear extrapolation, I do find him boring.

    Discussion:
Due to limited sample size, other peoples opinions may vary from mine

    /case closed

    edited for poor proof reading.
