Generating excitement is measured through someone recognising a name of an athlete from another country?

Only one player shot par or better in all four rounds of 2015 US Open. Do u know who that player is?
Consciousness and awareness - awareness is being aware of what is happening and being aware of what is happening within ourselves while we are conscious. Where did I leave my glasses?

Ah, the age of instant gratification. Pavlov has a lot to answer for. Anyone remember Rollerball? The Romans have a lot to answer for as well!

    Subjective facts? Really?

Bubba and Mickelson are largely considered two of the most exciting golfers of this era.

In your survey of non golfers, the same number of people recognise Bubba, Phil and Jordan.

In a roundabout conclusion, the subjective facts show that Jordan must be generating excitement if an equal amount of people know him.

    The end

It was our Cam Smith. Nothing more frustrating knowing that a mate is in contention to win the US Open and not being able to see him on the TV.

That's an excellent piece of trivia!

Aside from the result, there are honestly 4 things I can remember:
    1. The course was in shit condition
    2. JDay fell over
    3. Tiger topped one into the pot on 18
    4. DJ choked

I get it Benno. Jordan won the Masters and UsOpen last year. I watched a fair chunk of both those tournaments. I can't remember a memorable shot he played in either of those tournaments. No Tiger's chip at the 05 Masters, no Phils shot off the pine needles on the par5 13th, no Bubba's hook wedge from the crap to win a playoff over Louis (who earlier produced an albatross). No excitement. Having thought about it I don't remember much at all about last years Masters and I watch almost all of it. Probably because Jordan won by 4 and the only shots I can remember about last years final round of UsOpen was DJ's 3putt, Cam Smiths 2nd into 18 and Grace putting his ball OB on 16 or 17 and blowing it.

Mate I am with you - Spieth is an amazing player but if he is leading a tournament, I turn TV off coz he is boring as bat shit.

If Mickelson, Tiger (might not see him leading again), JDay, AS or Rory are leading or up there I keep TV on because they provide me with the desire to keep watching - no science or facts to it - it's just how I feel. Isn't it great how we are all different

By using your measuring criteria, Jason Day must be boring as hell too.

Actually surprised than any non golfers knew his name
And there's the key. The others have been around eons longer than him. Tho he shone bright and travelled last year the casual peep needs more exposure timeline wise.

Rory has also had loads of media exposure due to his high profile relationship with another star and the subsequent high profile split.

You probably could have put Allenby in the list and more people would have known him , but not for his golf .
And that says more about golf reporting in Australia than anything

Benno quick survey you are as weel known as Kevin Na
