If he couldn't putt, then he'd just be another Adam Scott.

Or the clones were on the Australian PGA telecast.

    That was boring.

I haven't seen a good putter yet who lacks imagination.

They noted this in the broadcast actually that it is starting to happen more often with Spieth's playing partners.

I think that Spieth may be the player to create havoc with popular golf instruction. That will be fun to watch.
Consciousness and awareness - awareness is being aware of what is happening and being aware of what is happening within ourselves while we are conscious. Where did I leave my glasses?

Have a look at Spieths stats for birdies made compared to everyone else.
Watching a guy regularly dropping 15' birdies isn't boring.
He is so far ahead of everyone else in birdies made it isn't funny.

If it where tiger or Stenson et al, they would have carried on and swore and cussed then snapped the club over their knee ( well that's entertaining I must admit)!

Keopka played very defensive IMO, should have been more aggressive being that amount of shots behind.

Watching Spieth defend a lead is far more entertaining than watching people like A.Scott and G.Norman melt down in the face of pressure.

His 3 irons are also pretty exciting to watch. His short game is only boring to the extent that he always seems to be able to get up and down on almost every kind of lie.

He is also getting longer - Koepka is one of the longest drivers on tour and only had Spieth by about 10 yards on that drive on the 18th hole yesterday.

    I hate Patrick Reed though.

Exactly my point. Drama is interesting. Big boomers are exciting.

Watching a surgeon at work is not.

This statement needs context. 2015: didn't come to Aus due to wife giving birth.2014: had injuries he needed to take care of on the off-season (seemed to work, given his 2015 form.2013: Came home, won Individual and Team trophies at the World Cup at RM and have a decent showing at Aus Open at Royal Sydney.Back on topic though - Spieth is very impressive. Not many bogeys, shitloads of birdies, holes putts like a mo-fo, not many missed fairways/greens, and knows how to find a decent score when he gets in the shit. All these things are true, yet I get why people think he's boring. You can be a killer golfer and still be boring as bat shit. Hope J-Day and Rors run rings around him...somehow. If he keeps this form up though, a lot of guys are going to struggle to win lots of majors over the next decade.

Spieth is a poster boy for that clean cut American image. What the lads are saying is they'd prefer to watch someone who is rough around the edges - a John Daly type of dude.
If one day Spieth loses it, hits seven balls in the piss then walks off the course with the utter shits, that'd put to bed the "boring" argument. Or if he starts gambling, doing lines and shagging blondes, that'd also do the trick.

Hits ball a long way. Check.
    Makes tonnes of birdies. Check.
Makes mistakes and then makes unreal recoveries. Check.
Drops amazing putts at clutch moments. Check.
Appears to be a good guy off the course. Check.
Makes high hair lines sexy. Check.

So boring. Not sure what you guys want.

He is a very aggressive player and i find it fun to watch him take it on. I was impressed with the way he attacked the back 9 on Sunday at Augusta with a big lead and a first major up for grabs. Reaching 13 and 15 (just over) in 2, especially second shot on 13 off a steep side hill lie was a big contrast to how other players have closed it out (ie Zach Johnson) or imploded (ie Rory) in the same situation.. Also hard to forget his second to the last at Chambers bay, which probably won him another major.

Was wondering where Jazz and Benno were getting this amazing/boring player nonsense from.

Carlos Santana is an amazing guitar player, but I'd rather go to a Metallica concert.

Lean towards pretty, I'm guessing like Fuzzy. If it looks pretty it has to be right?

Or Rory's high draw is more.... something (insert word) than Jordan's?

Nice from far, but far from nice?.FWIW, I like Jordan as a golfer and the "boring" thing is a non-issue for me, but I certainly do understand it.Watching him fire up in those first two rounds at Augusta last year was pretty awesome. I think he plays aggressively, it's just he's not a bomber, so it doesn't seem like he's aggressive.

    No, it's a ball flight.

No, none of my comments have been about swing. I like all PGA pro's swings, wish I had them. And I don't care about who has a more "right" swing.
