Default Which course to join Townsville

OK, the time has come and by this time next month, I will be back living in Townsville,
I have been a member of all three courses and would have gone back to TGC but with the rebuild I'm not sure.

So what is the better at the moment RBCC or Willows?

I have played all 3 a few times this year. I would probably join Rowes Bay. Willows suffers with a lack of water and conditioning , but is the best layout. Townsville will probably need a couple of years to see what happens with the residential development.

I think Brisvegas joined at Rowes Bay, but I couldn't say for sure.

Should have posted yesty, played with a guy from T'Ville today. He's a member of Willows and was saying it's dry and the city is on water restrictions.

I played Divison 1 A grade pennants at Willows in September. It's very dry there yes, but there are numerous other problems with the course.

Most of the bunkers are stuffed and have rocks the size of your fist in them. The greens also had massive dead spots in them. Putting was an absolute lottery. Mix it in with unwatered fairways, with rocks in a lot of areas, and it's really in a sad state.

They can have some of our water.

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

I think it's going to be Rowes Bay.

Good choice, IMO. Historically Rowes Bay has always been the most welcoming IMO.

Yes RBCC has always been the more social even to no playing family members and activities

That's a description of Townsville in general.
