Default OZgolf Punters Club - March 2016

    OZgolf Punters Club Rules:

    1. Currently, a once off payment of $30 (as of Nov 30, 2015) currently secures you a share in the club. This changes each round depending on the money in the kitty, and the number of punters.

    2. A roster will be drawn up and posted so everyone knows in what order they will be betting.

    3. We will be using a Tom Waterhouse sporting bet account and everyone will have access to the login to see bets made, balance etc.

    4. If you double the money that you have bet, then you can punt again the next week. i.e for a $30 outlay, minimum of $60 collect required to bet again.

    5. If you win double the money, and go again, then bet that doubled amount next time. You will now need to win double the new amount to go again a third time. If you win twice, then it will reset to the original amount again for your third bet. For example, you bet $30 in the first round and win $60 or more. You will now bet $60 needing $120 to bet once again. If successful, the third betting round for you will be a $30 bet.

    6. Winnings to be distributed only after everyone has punted. Alternatively, you can leave your money in for the next stage..

    7. It is anticipated that bets will be a minimum of $30 and payouts for each bet should be at least $60. This will not however be strictly enforced, as to entice some of our exotic multi-bet punters in the ranks. (e.g having a $10 place bet on a horse @ 2.80, to win $28 is not encouraged.)

    Round start: November 29 2015
Starting balance for this round is : $585

Strikers two opening bowlers both qlders.

We'd have Richo but Australia have stolen him (probably to not pick him to play)

They can, they are likely playing test cricket or perhaps even in the one day squad. No Qlder with an ACA contract post Ryan Harris and none in the one day squad. Should be plenty available for 20/20.

You sure about that? Ever heard of Joe Burns? Or doesnt he have a contract?

Looks like Joe Burns doesn't have a CA contract, but Mitchell Johnson and Shane Watson do. Go figure.

Anyway at last count I was at about 12 qlders playing for other BBL franchises. I don't see those numbers from other states.

They probably decided to leave when the heat imported their own opening bowler

Also, my account has been transferred across to William Hill. If you log in by going to the Tom Waterhouse site, you will get redirected to Willian Hill. If you use the Tom Waterhouse app, all appears the same. As part of the changeover, I received a $20 bonus bet into the account, so I will think of a way to spend this.

SS update. $364 in the account, and 10 punters left to punt. So we at least all get a bet.

Logged in this morning, it is now kicks you over to the William Hill site. There is a $20 bonus bet thrown in withe the move.

I have backed Sundayhack's Dad's horse $10 the win, $20 the place. It will need to win for me to go again.

Yes I got an email over the weekend. Website kicks you over to William Hill, but it still looks like the TW site, just rebadged. TW app works still as well, so no real change for us.

I am thinking about a novel way to bet the $20 bonus bet, possibly a 19 way multi. It expires on Feb 16, so have a bit of time to organise.
