My putting alignment problem
I am fine when I use a mallet putter, but when I use a blade type putter the ball always ends up low, about 10-12 inches below the hole. It does not seem to matter how much I try to compensate for this the problem does not go away, I have even gone to the extent of twisting the grip a bit to make the alignment go a bit higher. Alas all seems to fail. Any suggestions t fix the problem?

Well it's obviously due to the offset.
Keep using the mallet?

Get a putting mirror and make sure you align properly to begin with

No worries.
There could be other factors like if your mallet is face balanced and the blade has toe hang, u are closing the face quicker or just pulling them.

Is your stroke arched or straight back and through?

Then a face balanced putter is what you need. I too have a straight back and through stroke and I struggle with putters that have toe hang.
Your mallet is probably face balanced, which is why you get better results.
It only took me about 20 putters to figure this out.
