Has anyone ever been on a Tuesday/Wednesday for the practice rounds? Worthwhile?

I've not, but I'd probably go down if I could get out of work. Free entry. And probably bugger all crowds for whatever you would end up seeing there.

I'm going to get along on Wednesday now instead of Friday. Dunno how much there'll be to see, but at least there won't be the crowds of Friday...

Practise rounds are the best days.
No ropes, walk up the fairways with the players!

    Wednesday is Proam day, no?

Can you still get up close in the Proam?

That's what I like to hear. I'm teeing off at Eastlake in the open comp at 0706 on Wednesday, then will mosey over to The Australian. How's that for a hump day?.

When the Aus Open was on at Royal Sydney few years back I went out there with some mates on the Tuesday arvo.
We followed some big name players around, no ropes, walk right along side them and had conversations with them about everything and anything (a lot Scotty Cameron orientated especially with Ogilvy, Pampling and someone else....can't remember)
Don't know how strict they are theses days.
    Very enjoyable, and it's free!

Was that 2013 mate, when it was last at Royal Sydney? I volunteered that year. Hopefully it's same-ish this year. Probably will be different, given its the pro-am day...

    OK. it starts tomorrow.

Looking right through the tee times in the paper today, it is a pretty deep field. Just about all the Aussies, even Allenby!, Lee Westwood and George McNeill as the real drawcard. Peter Uhlien is an interesting player to look out for.

The weather forecast should make life interesting. A windy roaster tomorrow, and a southerly buster later in the day. I doubt if Jordan sees that type of weather in the States too often.

Those attending should post in this thread so we can try to spot them on TV.

Could have got a cart or someone to lug his bag for him....

Surprised he didn't play the Masters, may be underdone?
Sportingbet gave $10 Scott, taken a piece of that e/w.
Few other locals for top 25.
Like to see an Aussie win it.

Tiger odds, crazy, not to say he can't win but that is way too thin in a golf tournament.

Just secured Goggin @140 and Wade Ormsby @100.

Doesn't it get fairly warm and windy in Texas where he played his college golf?

Just let that tornado pass by before I play my next shot. (It's not quite tornado alley.)
