Made mine out one of those bench vices, the fold up portable benches with two handles to wind in or out to grip things. I got a piece of angle iron about 4 inches long and drilled a hole the diameter of a shaft, I then cut down from the edge of the angle iron to open up a slot wide enough to take a shaft. This was then bolted to one of the wooden prices that form the top of the bench. You then drop the shaft into the slot with the club head snug to the other side of the angle iron, you then clamp the shaft to the other top timber, so that when you unscrew to open the bench vice, it puts pressure to pull the shaft. Apply heat and keep the pressure up until you see some movement, then completely unscrew to remove the shaft. It ain't fancy but its a cheap puller and it works well.
