have an old school mate who has been a long term dole bludger. Claiming a bad back is the reason for his failure to work.

Winges about politics on a daily basis and in particular the government's plans to bring in the indue card

No mention of the stimulus; just total hate for the government who has provided an income to him for the last 20 years!

Maybe I'm easily amused, but some of the ads on TV and radio are quite amusing at the moment. It could be different in the cities, but I'm still hearing and seeing lots of ads for businesses and events that should be closed due to the virus.

Either the business doesn't care, and hasn't updated their ad, the station doesn't care and figures the hotel has paid for the space, so we'll run the ad anyway, or (more likely) the ad is running as a placeholder because nobody bought the ad space after the original business pulled out.

According to the ad, I can still go to the Byron Bay amateur boxing special event this Friday, and celebrate later at the Evans Head Bowlo.

On the negative, I really wouldn't want to be an advertising salesperson at the moment. No bonus (and possibly no job at all) in that field.

Ad blocks are usually booked and paid for weeks ahead. The TV Networks aren't handing any funds back, so they have to run them. But they will be suffering a real drought shortly as the pre paids run out. Unless the government starts blitzing us of course.

Giving all the banks the glory for helping the economy, by deferring loan repayments for 6 months, when they havent even dug into their owm pockets.

Deferring repayments increases their revenue because interest is capitalised, and with a stroke of the pen have avoided a large portion of their loan book going to non-performing status, thus maintaining the strength of their balance sheet.

Until the banks start waiving revenue, they are not contributing.

Yep. But at some stage we'll have to do it, as it's probably the big benefit I'll get access to. I couldn't care less about 20yrs down the track, I'll still be working, that's for sure.

Are you saying its fine for them to continue to make millions in profit while people and businesses cop it up the rare end?

Its an interesting discussion point, but consider that a banks return on assets is pitifully low. NAB has $800 billion in assets, net profit $5 billion, of which 80% is returned to shareholders, half of which are retail imvestors and employs 35,000 staff

In today's Facebook spam was a list of groups Facebook thinks I may be interested in.

Among them was a group titled Princess Cruises for Ozzies.

I reckon that group would be a real barrel of laughs right now.

    This on an ebay listing;

"This club is in great working condition, but shows some contact wear that is isolated to the sole, face, and hand grip of the club"

Not sure where else wear could be 'isolated' to

Only wear and tear on the sole of my clubs (Ball and Tee when I hammer it into the ground). Nothing touches the face

A supplier filling an order for 2 x part no's at $1400 each RRP with 1 correct part and 1 wrong one which has an RRP of $19000.

Client only realised this 2 months after receiving it when they went to use it. ( lockdowns)

Thats an awesome screwup by the stock pickers! Thats like ordering a glove from golf box and getting a driver!

Waiting in the carpark today, watched these two come up to a grey holden wagon with groceries, trying to unlock it, only to realise their car was parked in the next row back... same colour and model. They thought it was pretty funny as well.
