    Default Car Pooling Thread

    Hey all,

Looking at hiring a car for the champs again if anyone else is keen. I am happy to drive, keeps me off the piss

at this stage looking at a CRV or XTrail for around $350 for the 5 days. Fuel and Tolls add about $100 max all up.

So far BenM is in. anyone else?

If we get 4 we can go for the Carnival again if Alpha have one.

I have not yet booked flights but am looking at getting in Thursday around 11 or 12 and leaving Monday around 3 or 4.

    Pete

It seems I'll have 3 FNQ'ers in tow with me, which means I'll also have to bring the tanty trailer.

So if you guys wanted to get 4 or 5 in the X-Trail / CRV or 6 or 7 in the Clown Car(nival) then I'll have room for bags and buggies etc.

That offer applies to all if anyone requires extra haulage also.

If Monsta and I end up separate cars again, I will happily ferry one or two around.
Or maybe I just drive to Nagambie and catch the bus

The usual offer is on the table if anybody is planning on flying in/out from Avalon.

Probably not much help. Possibly carrying their clubs, if you want to load the Clown Car with 6-8 people on Sat. and Sun.

ps. And loading the ute with Chappy shaft extractors for bulk delivery to Sydney.

I believe I'm picking up bluu from Avalon on Friday and returning him on Sunday or Monday. I'm only pencilled in for Thursday at this stage, but if somebody wants a lift I'll make it happen. As it is I'll definitely be able to stop in at Avalon on Thursday or Friday (or even Saturday at a pinch) prior to the game, and I'm able to drop people off after Sunday and Monday rounds.

I've got a wagon with plenty of room for sticks in the back.

I am happy to do a pickup or two from the Airport Thursday morning. I can fit two blokes and gear fairly comfortably, three is pushing it.

OldRacer, is the NAGA bus coming? As the Yarra Valley is a fair hike from the hotel, might be worth a few of us jumping in with you.

By Thursday morning, I mean roughly 12ish. What time are the travellers arriving?

I'll be leaving Canberra at about 5ish and driving down that morning so should get to the airport approx midday.

I arrive 9.35am on Thursday at Tullamarine airport and would be up for a lift. Don't care if it is at midday.

can't commit the bus yet Benno, probably but don't want to allocate seats until I'm sure. Bums in the bus during the event is not a prob if it's there just dont want to say I'll pick up 4-6 from the airport and drop off if I don't happen to bring it is all.
