In any event I find their services and facilities very good, indoor and outdoor on trackman. I first got them to build me a driving iron which still goes very well. Then had an iron/driver fitting day. I had my irons ( miura 501's ) which I could demo there using all their assortment of shafts. We went over all the numbers from each shaft and I had them supply and build my irons with their recommended shafts. I could have done it cheaper but I was and am still happy with my purchase, albeit I have just put them up for sale Jack has immense patience and is very knowledgeable, even providing the odd swing tip along the way. I flew back home from the fitting and my specs, hitting graphs etc were in my inbox when I landed, great service. Never did I feel pressured to buy their product. It's not cheap but I know if I purchase using their specs, I 'm heading in the right direction. Going back this Thursday to check my specs and have a putter fitting as a new purchase is on the horizon and I want to make sure of my numbers before I spend up. I'm an advocate.

    Initially driver oldracer.
Do you do the specialised sessions, or by the hour sessions?
Would like to do a whole bag but probably not worth it for me just yet.

Initially did the specific sessions and they spent way more time than allocated but this thurs will be an hour checking specs etc and then the allocated putter session. Good to see the ball flight outdoors too.

The technology and equipment is first class.
I had a driver fitting 1.5 yrs ago
I never really hit it any good, and the shaft ended up breaking
Their prices for the build are hard to justify, and the lead time is too long as everything is built in the USA.

think mine were 10 days, not sure you would get a set out of Drummonds any quicker. Interesting talking to a Drummond shop owner the other day re new clubs, not once did he discuss swing weight nor did he have a SW scale.

I loved my fittings I had one for driver and one for irons last year. The information you get out of the day is amazing. They are great guys, but it would be a long time before I ever actually bought something from them, price is crazy.

    So, some reflections:

I thoroughly enjoyed my time today. I had my driver session with Jack, who was ready to go, approachable and quite attentive.
A few shots to warm up, and then a few hits with my current driver setup for a baseline, and some indication as to what we might have been looking for regarding improvement.
It pretty quickly showed my current driver wasn't right (neither is my current ball it seems!).

We grabbed a few heads, and about 10 shafts to try and headed out to the range. Pro V1's all the way throughout, so was a real ball for the entire session.
A few more shots with my current stick outdoors for baseline again, and then onto the trialing.

Jack was very quick to pick up on what I liked and didn't like, with respect to look and 'feel', so that began to steer the build a certain way, which also reflected an improvement straight away. I have a consistent miss (low on the face) which was something we looked at throughout, knowing that an improvement in that on my behalf would also benefit overall improvement down the track.

We ended up with two combos providing very similar results, it was only the 'feel' which I liked more which will lean me a certain way.

I had a great time, and will definitely go back for a putter fitting next.

With respect to price, I'm not so sure prices are 'crazy'. The shaft price for my 'best' is pretty much on par with eBay. I think where there's a bit of disparity is that the 'club' price looks to be for a whole club, and then the shaft (and build) on top. I'd be interested to see how it compares to an OEM build with the upcharge for the shaft of choice. But to say it's crazy is probably a bit harsh, especially when our baseline is OzGolf prices.

I think so. I don't know too many other ways of getting the info that I did (which was the goal of my session).
I'm sure you could do an OEM fitting (which I've done years ago) but you don't get the quality of the info at all, and especially not delivered to your email.
I got to try four heads (r15, Big Bertha Alpha, ping g30 and titty 915). Then a whole range of shafts from tour AD's, Accras and Fuji's. Again, probably not able to do that in too many other places.

There's probably always going to be arguments about brand affiliations, and potentially there is another shaft to my chosen one by another manufacturer with matching profile and specs. But as I mentioned, the cool clubs price for the shaft was more than reasonable.

Was my second option. Fitted with BB6s. It's nice. Was the d2 for me. Nice looking head, good flight. I just like the feel of the g30 better. Ping was shafted with Fujikura Pro 63x. Tried both shafts in both heads.

As stated previously, I am an advocate so take this review for what it's worth. Had a fitting at CC 18 months ago with another last Thursday to see where my numbers were and overlayed the data from both and WOW, without this info I would have no idea apart from my scores about my transition in this game. Took 3 sets of 6/7 irons and 2 drivers to see where my "best" was. Hit indoors and outdoors with Titty ProV1's.
Numbers proved what I thought was my best was not but what it did prove was my ball striking had improved immensely and after Jack gave me some swing tips, the same ones he gave me 18 months ago!!! my carry and total distance on my driver improved 20-25m!! for an old bloke like me, that puts me back in the GIR area on most par 4's. In fairness, the numbers were gained with a new driver, new shaft length and new draw setting, the last I would have had no idea about without the instant feedback of the trackman club path and resultant benefit of swing/club setup changes.
Again to put this in perspective, I live 2 states away, spend a day doing this and the results, for me, pay for themselves 10 times over in my mind, good blokes to go with it.
So now when I HO, I can select a great deal knowing that it fits my profile and not a guess.

Racer, why did you travel all that way for a fitting, nothing down your way?
