Default Uncivil War IV - Friday 5th Feb 2016, The Metropolitan Golf Club

Making this thread and reserving this post to enter official details once we get a bit closer to the event.

For the record, the Confederates are currently winning the war, with the score at 2 battles to 1. This year looms large as the Union would hate to go 2 battles down again, where as the Confeds would be loathe to let all their hard work over the first 2 years to go to waste.

OK mighty North team, the grey is set as "dark grey", in honour of the mood of the confeds when we whip the red off their necks:

This is the far less preferred option:

No worries, I have shorts in both dark and light shades of grey. Grey is an accountant's natural colour.

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

Hope he doesn't mind a lack of sleep. I won't feel bad at all now about starting the chainsaw

Andigold has thought of everything. No doubt he has put a couple of Unionists in the room next door and had the insulation taken out of the dividing walls.

    Let her rip, Monsta!

I saw in yesterdays results that Nudgee tore Huntingdale apart yesterday with a very healthy 40+ points, hopefully he's peaked a week or two early

On a side not to my opponent Waz, be warned and very afraid as I am currently experiencing some form that is foreign to me

I will goes as far as to say the safest place for you might be on a plane heading back across the boarder (Literally I mean the safest place for you )

    Don't say I didn't warn you!

Haha... at least one of us is in some form!

I played to my handicap in late November and prior to that last June... is that considered to be in form?? or it could be I'm overdue to play to it again!!

Looking forward to watching you tear it up... Hopefully the Capt'n can carry me in the 4BBB!

    Cheers,
    Waz

I'm on the Courty no form bus too. A solid -6 in a par comp on the weekend and unlikely to play again before the Thursday round. Lost the ability to chip and all of the irons are going way left. I'm just going to cross my fingers and hope Lucastro is playing even worse.

    Hey Waz,

I'm hitting shots I've never hit or imagined I'd be ale to hit and the results are speaking for themselves

Oh and I never actually said this current form was good form, more I was just trying to give you a friendly warning as to perhaps maybe padding up and wearing a helmet might be a wise move on your behalf lol

mmm Interesting times ahead I predict!

haha it should be a good match then!

And yes if you are spraying them into the trees then I may need to pad up as that is likely where I'll be searching around for my ball... I am not known for my straight hitting!

Will be interesting indeed. Looking forward to it.
