Are you playing? Might even stay in town Thursday and Friday. Pork rolls for breakfast?
If Scott Hend is not playing, I'm not either

I'm going to try to make it mate but at this stage it's highly unlikely.

Hendy wouldn't get on looking like that.
Guess I will be playing one out then ! Metro in February is the best condition course ever worth a day trip. I will supply the pork rolls from Richmond!

Metropolitan is a must play its by far the best condition golf course I've ever played. To play it on a Friday arvo in February is a treat. I'm playing there next month but will be nothing on how it plays in Summer. The fairways are slick and greens smooth as it's a golfers golf course do it Binh it's amazing.

    I played it in March.
Couldn't get over how good the condition was. Just perfection from every view.

Just looked at a few of the photos on the Metro site. I don't think I'll bother taking wedges. I'll just use the putter whenever I'm within 50m, and if I find myself stuck behind a bunker I'll just putt it in and go from there. I still haven't recovered mentally from the last time I tried to chip from a hard fairway to a super fast green.
Still not playing enough GolfLink | Slightly less terrible stats brought to you by Golfshot - F: 57%, GIR: 23%, UD: 14%, P: 34. Wow, improvement! | Nickent brand ho or tightarse? You be the judge!

My lessons are at Kingston Heath,so all my chipping is off these lies Larry.Just have no tension in your arms, easy back easy through making sure you turn towards the target.Ball slightly forward of centre, not to much shaft lean is best way to approach these tight lies when chipping.Thats what I've been working on,contact is crisp and pulls up nicely, hope this helps!

A question for the locals, my wife normally stays in Oakleigh, which is central to all her old school friends. How far away are these courses from here? I know the sandbelt's are just around the corner, just not sure on the ones near croyden.

Just trying to work it out and see if I might be able to get away with this trip while she visits friends and goes shopping during golf. The problem for me will be getting to and from the courses, if it's an hour drive each way, as the wife wouldn't be to keen on that.

I find it easier to just putt around the bunkers, until i have a straight line up to the flag and then I shank the putter into the bunker anyway.
Hey, let's pop some Viagras and issue tickets with raging, mega-huge boners.

Both tracks are around the 45-50 minute mark from Oakleigh.

I'd be surprised if there wasn't a couple of people living down that way that you could get a lift from billp.

    Thanks Lefty.

Just to put it out there, is there anyone around the area of Oakleigh that will be attending this event?

It would have to be with the wife, unless she wanted to stay out there. I will make her a nice dinner and put my proposal forward. Let you know how I go.

Oakleigh is near enough on the way from Andi's to the courses so someone would be able to pick you up and drop you back I would think, just depends how good your dinner and grovelling is I guess

I usually employ grovelling so I don't have to do the holding

OK ladies and gents. Some people have requested bank details so they are now available in the original post of the thread under the spoiler.

As per usual, I am happy to take payments in installments of whatever amount you wish, and once I get the final price from Metro then I will tally up individual totals and post them in the table in the original post. Please make sure you include your OZgolf username in the bank deposit reference so I know which is your payment.

Thanks all, and bring on Feb 2016!
