    Default Iron shaftage advice

    Gents,

What are some wise suggestions for Stiff iron shafts that would be a bit lighter than S300s and Px 6.0 Rifles? I've hit KBS Tour V shafts at PPGL and they felt pretty good. What else? NS Pro somethings? Not sure if I'll need to change, but I know the R300 Superlites feel pretty good in my MBs, and I may end up swapping out the Px 6.0 Rifles in my AP2s for something lighter. Cheers, FJ.

GolfWRX - what's that?? Just kidding. I'll sus it out - although Benno just smashed my question with his reply too. FWIW, the way they layout their forums on GolfWRX is a mess compared to the OzGolf forums...

Thanks mate. Wasn't there Modus 120s for sale on here recently? I'll see how I travel with the 6.0 Rifles - haven't used these irons for months as they were cycled through the hands of other OzGolfers - then see what's what.

well I guess a serious fitting would do the job, found NS Pro to be very good but use and rate recoil and steelfibre so I'm of no use

What's the ball flight like with the modus compared to the kbs tours?

Lower, with less spin. Much better feel through the hands as well.

Depending of your reaction to Modus softer feel, could even go an X or X softstepped.

what Benno said - they feel much nicer and my flight definitely lowered slightly compared to the KBS.

let u know shortly about the 120X soft stepped, going into the J40's when I can get them to Chappy, not a lot of difference in the profile over the S, just a tad heavier

I have tried just about every iron shaft over the last few months and my pick is DG Pro. Similar feel to DG's but a little lighter. High launch in long irons and piercing flight on low irons... You are welcome to have a hit of mine

Modus 120 x's for me, best steel shaft I've used or matrix programs if you feel like lashing out on some graphites.

I like the Modus 120 and 130 - they are similar weight to your current shafts, however I think they feel lighter when you swing them.

KBS Tour V is another option.

I just got a set of irons that came with Tour V's installed. They're a bit too low-launch/ low-spin for me so will be looking to trade for a set of KBS Tour or something similar.
