Gumtree is fascinating. People want to haggle the price on a boat I have for sale without even looking at it. One guy this week offered less than half my asking price, which was about a $3k lowball. After I texted back, " no thanks, **** off" I haven't heard back from him.

Another guy just called about my boat, 10 minutes ago. Wants to know if I can transport it to Cairns for no charge. 800 k's away.

My workmate has a nice boat for sale for $18k as he has upgraded (again).
A bloke was keen to come down from Sydney to have a look. He came down the 2 hours from Campbelltown, checked it out, made an offer. Of $10k - if my workmate towed it to Sydney for him... Bloke was suggesting he was doing him a favour by taking it off his hands.
Workmate politely told him to **** off.
Boat sold the week after for $17500 to a guy from the next suburb.

Gumtree
A different guy came and had a look at the boat yesterday. Was really impressed with it and then said he couldn't buy it as he had to tow it to about 100 k's inland of Derby in WA. He said the trailer wouldn't last on the rough dirt roads. Hey dickhead, it's a tinny on a boat trailer. I am missing out on golf to meet these idiots lol.

The above sums up why I haven't even bothered to attempt selling my boat, not to mention a couple of cars that I really should offload too.
Hopefully I will pluck up the courage to face the inevitable ****wits sometime this year.

What is this? OZTree or GumGolf?
I've got a deal for you Pep, you can buy my boat and the tow car that goes with it, and then drive it all back across the Nullarbor. You could even stop in for Kitcheners in SA on the way through for a bit of sustenance.

By any chance, have you had problems with getting this boat stuck on sandbars?

Because you're such a nice bloke, it will only cost you $28K plus money for fuel and kitcheners, and it's about a 3900km trip to get home.

I contacted someone local about a cut off saw, told him I'd take it and would be in touch about pickup and payment on the weekend. He said no worries.
I contact him today for pickup this afternoon and he says sorry mate, I sold it an hour ago.
