Default Golf Mat for practice @ home, advice needed.

    Is this one any good?

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/RANGE-SIZ...item336d959d5f

I don't want to spend too much but I want to make sure that I get something that doesn't damage my clubs and lasts a bit.

I'm working on impact so I will be mainly be hitting quarter and half shots.

    I would appreciate any advice.

    Thanks.

I'd want one that I can stand on right?

Otherwise I would have to make some sort of a compensation... grip down?

There are some really good quality ones that are priced well but they are only 30cm by 50cm... just enough to hit off.

Thanks Virge but I'm not heading out that way any time soon.

I'll let you know if things change.

I bought this 4 layer mat from Alinmat 2 months ago and for its price, I can recommend it without hesitation.
I use it in my garage for both full iron shots and shorter impact punch shots. No issues and it is quite durable.

It's not as heavy as the commercial ones of course but can't expect that for $70 shipped. =p

I done that too, except they were changing over the matts and let me choose one of the old ones for nicks. If its going in your back yard it should be one you can stand on.

Thread mining for opinions & options for a home mat.

I have a decent sized net already. Looking for something under $300 preferably and a mat that can take a normal tee or at least a rubber range tee.

I plan on ringing round some local courses/ranges to see if they have anything suitable.

If I wasn't on the opposite side of the country I would take you up on that offer D22

Mike, do you use the Bunnings mat yourself ? I'm a bit dubious about the durability and "harshness" of it but I'll definitely check it out.
