Default Vic Champs Sunday morning bacon and egg rolls. Who wants one?

OK, it's on. I'll be getting up early to throw together some dodgy bacon and egg rolls on the BayPlay BBQ to fuel us up for the march around Cape Schanck. I can't promise anything gourmet, but there will be bacon, there will be eggs, there will be tomato sauce, and there will be buns (not as impressive as Bruce's buns of course, but probably a similar shade of white). What more could you ask for?

$5 each should cover it, proceeds to Beyond Blue or whoever the charity of choice is for the champs this year. I'm guessing I'll probably have to order the goodies from the local supermarket to avoid disappointment, so I'll take orders in the thread and call them up.

    Who wants one? Or two?

For burgers just buy short cut bacon. No cutting and no fights.

I bought some of that, and some regular stuff. The short cut bacon is much easier, but it doesn't have enough fat on it. It's almost healthy. Nobody ever cured a hangover with that stuff.

It costs twice as much too.

Take it as it comes. I don't want to create expectations here.

I would like my two egg and bacon rolls with the egg (slightly runny) on the lightly buttered sourdough roll, then the two medium cooked short pieces of bacon placed evenly.

Then an equal amount of sea-salt and ground peppercorns, to be wrapped in greased paper and served at approx 40deg

I'll eat last so that if we run out of bacon before then it's all good.

I was with you until the greased paper bit. Do I just rub butter on it or something?

Two short pieces of bacon is not 'shit loads'. Don't fall for that gourmet crap!

I'm tempted to see if we can push back 20 minutes or so. Think everyone will be happier with that.

Should be plenty of highlights in that match.

I was wondering how long it would take somebody to be sensible and order 1. . Meanwhile, I made another one for lunch today - 3 short cut bits. Not enough bacon.
