    Default 2015 Riverside Oaks Sat 28/2 - Sun 1/3

    Hi Guys,

I know the original date of the NSW Champs was Marchish but for various reasons (which suited MrB ) it was changed to Winter as per:

    http://www.ozgolf.net/showthread.php...6-28-June-2015

Now at one point in the original discussion it was also floated by KJ for a brief period that a March Champs at Riverside Oaks may have been possible. As it turned out this was due to the Scotty Cameron group organising a weekend there and with the numbers low the invitation was handed out. But was then withdrawn for various reasons. ANYWAY… as it turns out the Scotty weekend has pretty much fallen over. At this stage there is really only Lawrence (titty) , Tony (castaway) and myself… a cracking group but not enough to warrant a weekend away!

Sooo, long story short the booking is there if WE want to use it for Ozgolf.

UPDATE: This is going ahead but just a one night stay OR golf only details as below

Details are below but what we need to know is committed numbers by say Tuesday 10th next week and then money to Tony soon after.

    Where: Riverside Oaks, Cattai
When: Sat 28th Feb to Sun March 1st (Before the madness of Kids winter sports start up! )

    Itinerary:
    - Saturday 9:30am Golf on the Gangurru Course. The original championship course, host of the Aust PGA back in the late 80’s and recently the host of the NSW PGA for 2014.
    http://www.riversideoaks.com.au/deta...id=&submenuid=
    - Saturday aftenoon beers / putting comp and dinner at RO
    - Sunday 8:30am Golf on the Bungool Course. Recently opened Championship course and future host of the NSW PGA.
    http://www.riversideoaks.com.au/deta...id=&submenuid=
    - Presentation after golf and depart

Cost: $285pp - Includes: Sat night accommodation in deluxe room with King singles, both rounds with carts and full buffet breakfast Sun. Other meals at your own choosing and cost.

There is also the options of golf only Sat OR Sun. $75pp per round includes cart.

Let me or Tony (the main man orgainsing!) if you have any questions… and put your name down!

    Cheers,
    Waz

    Maybe.

At this stage if we can't get sufficient numbers to stay the weekend will likely be canned... perhaps a single one day game option may be kept. But if there is sufficient interest for stayers then I believe golf only options may become available.

would love to but the Vic Champs followed by Indonesia at Easter would mean funds will be quite limited.

Yes for those that just want to 'play', we can handle that.
Personally, I'll be staying and enjoying a few coldies with mates without the issue of driving.
The more the merrier for both golf and the stay, over.

Guys, we just need a few more. All I can promise is that you will have a great weekend.

    Well done Waz.

I heard an interesting whisper this morning that the Chinese owner of Riverside Oaks is possibly in big legal kaka over unapproved courses in China.

Also heard that the Bungool course has already been closed due to the flow on effect with funds being dried up.

    Any truth to that?
    Forum needs more banter.

Not sure. Tony was apparently speaking to the course yesterday but haven't recieved his feedback as yet.

Some interesting comments in this thread: http://www.ozgolf.net/showthread.php...course-Bungool

    Gentlemen,
Riverside Oaks have advised that the problems with some of the Greens on the newer course (Bungool) have improved significantly and are expected to be fine by 27th February.

They have also advised the following, for those not looking to do the whole:

1 night accommodation (Saturday 28th February) plus Golf on older course (Gangurru) = $420 . . . this is for 2 people. So you’ll need a buddy to get that down to $210 per head.

1 night accommodation (Saturday 28th February) plus Golf on both Gangurru and Bungool = $570 . . . this is for 2 people. So you’ll need a buddy to get that down to $285 per head.

Golf only on Saturday 28th = $75 per head
Golf only on Sunday 1st = $75 per head
Please note that the rate of $75 still includes cart and is a reduction on the standard price – due to condition of the greens on Bungool. They confirmed that the problems with the greens do not affect the Gangurru course.

So, take all that into account and lets get out there and have some fun.
    Cheers
    Tony

    Hi guys,

Just an update to this: Original post updated but in short:

Accommodation has been changed to just a one night stay to cut costs. Total cost for game Sat / Accom Sat night / game Sun + breakfast Sun = $285pp

Golf only option is available at $75pp per round, includes cart.

So looking through the thread I have the below, please help to confirm ASAP.

    Cheers,
    Waz
