Disappointing. Some greens too small and the rough 1ft off the fairway so thick will be lucky to find your ball. The newer of the 9 holes is still very rough, I think they rushed to get it open and really should have had another 6-9 months to grow in.

I last played it on 22 Dec and the greens were starting to die. They have since released reduced prices as the greens are infected with disease and have many bare patches.I've played it 3 times and wouldn't bother again. How this made it into the Top 100 in Golf Australia defies belief, until you see Riverside Oaks is a major advertiser in the mag so $$ talks in the rankings.

I rang them, they said they had 8-9 greens with disease and burn off on the new course. Lot of dead patches.

We have cancelled our booking and are now playing Kooindah Waters

How does a new course get so many diseased greens so easily? Have never seen it happen anywhere else.

They seem to be capable of screwing things up there course maintenance wise, and have for years. The old course has had some green issues for quite a long time, particularly the 8th. I think a combination of under staffing and quality of green's staff kills the place.

Bungool course has been closed now, due to green disease.

Where does this info come from?

Tony (Castaway) spoke to the course yesterday and they said 8 greens were affected but should be back within a few weeks??

I got the same info (8 greens out, but still open) when I rang earlier this week.

You promoting the Bad Press so the Summer Champs don't detract from "your" winter champs?!

Not really, these issues were evident before the Chinese brought it. I was a member there from 2001 to 2011 and some greens would have dead patches on them mainly on the outer edges. The 8th however has been in and out of action for the past 8 years or so.

    Quite possibly.

I played a little bit in the late 90s, when I was playing seriously, and it was immaculate.

I have only played it again since they bought it, with a few rounds over the last few years.
