Default Oxley GC, Tuesday April 25, 12p+ - AndyP v SteveRawlo

After much discussion, Steve and I have agreed on a date and venue for our matchplay.
Hopefully our decision will maximise OZgolf attendance also.

Here are the details of the round:
    Venue: Oxley Golf Club
Date: Anzac Day, Tuesday, April 25
Time: 12pm to 1pm. The later the better.
    Comp Format: Medley Stableford
Cost: Should be $19 if the other Open comps are anything to go by.
    Calendar: http://www.ozgolf.net/forums/calenda...=2006-4-25&c=1

    Andy,

Do you want me to get our names down on Tuesday or will you call them?

The problm is Golflink, my handicap is not lapsed, anyone can ring Jindalee (32793073 - ask to check Brett Warren's Handicap if you are that desperate) and confirm it if they wish but it is 15.1 or 15.2 (not sure if my McLeod round has gone through)

I'll let you do the honours, Steve. I've organised a few games on the forum this month.
At this stage, we definitely have four people (the two matches). Not sure what A-Lo's status is.

Brett - please read the rule again. and the onus is on you to prove your handicap not the other way around.

Given that you openly admit you dont play comps, and If i also remember correctly the last time i saw your Golf link there was only a couple of scores showing, and handicaps are lapsed at the beginning of every year, your pushing your luck trying to convince anybody it did not lapsed. With all due respect though - I do know that golf link should still show your record and state that it is lapsed.

based on your performance in some ozgolf days your damn lucky you dont get a special ozgolf handicap anyway - shall we have a poll

honestly if Golfer69's handicap had lapsed not many people would complain if he continued to use 11, but lets face it your closer to a 5 handicap than a 15.

    I wouldn't joke about that...

990B (along with choppa) is someone who doesn't need much of a handicap when he has a good day.

    Because you were in pencil.

Do we have anymore takers? 5 isn't very workable.

    Excellent work, Steve.

Now should I still play my tennis fixtures that night, I should I go out on the booze celebrating/drowning my sorrows.

    That's funny.
When we first started discussions on our match, we had the same handicap.

If there happens to be any last minute pullouts, count me in for this one.

A-Lo was in pencil, so we could make it 6, if he is still interested. The matches plus a spectator in each group??

i'm in either way, just means I won't get to see the pies pummel the dons live

The approx time has been on the thread title the whole time, as that's what we were aiming for and I think the comp tee times only start about 11 anyway.

Do you have 2 groups booked? I'm a chance at late notice if you need numbers.

I've only booked for one group but by the sound of it there was plenty of tee times available when I rang last Tuesday.
