    Had a chilli cheese pie on the way home (only one pork pie left) was equally as good, haven't tried the apple pie and pasty yet (tonight) but looks like everything out of there is top shelf

    I'm back in Adelaide next week for work...looking forward to another trip up to Bakery on O'Connell, although I keep on seeing a heap of other delightfully sugary looking things via their Facebook page that I could sample instead of a Kitchener

    Kenilworth bakery west of Brisbane/Sunshine Coast does a 1 kg one. Yet to do the trip to get one, but it will happen eventually.

    I like the idea of mini Kitchener more.

    Is there a significant difference between the Kitchener and a bog standard cream bun? or is it a Fritz type thing.

    The Kitchener is more towards a doughnut than a bun. Interesting history;

    For my second visit to SA in a row, I could not find, and therefore could not enjoy a Kitchener. They seem to be dying thing. Even the Mount Compass bakery, which I remembered as being a trusted source, didn't have any on display.
