Default Golfers who didn't go on with it!

Just heard in another thread about a golfer not making it because "he didnt like it". I think it was because he had Dennis in his name BTW. This got me thnking about other players who had all the game but didn't go on.
    1. Anthony Kim won a few on the big stage! Then whatever
    2. Neale Smith won the PGA Qschool then didnt make a cut.
    3. Jason Deep got a AUST pGa tour card at 17 yo lost it at 19 yo.
Plenty of others great stories going around??? Who deserves a mention

I changed title after thinking that if you make the grade you are better than most!

Both had blockbuster movies! Ty's roomy Mitch was the one who could have made the list. How about Wayne Perske he needs to be on the list imo!

One of the best I've seen that has virtually disappeared these days is David Duval, not sure he'd be classed as someone 'who didn't make it' though!

Default Golfers who didn't make it!

I once played Perske in matchplay pennants when he played for Windaroo. Fair player.

Still playing I see but the drug conviction will mean any win may have the ( * ) imo. Sort of unable to go on.

It is hard to pick on the Aussie guys as it is not just talent they need. They need the cash behind them otherwise they just cant pay for the travel and accommodation. I can name 20 players that simply ran out of cash before they could earn enough to learn how to play on tour.

When they are US based, the colleges have cash and equipment behind them.

Sorry thats a horrible ending to an amazing talent. Im guessing "Pissed anit he" was always destined to work in a bottlo shame as I know he once could play!

Agree Virge, it's more like US guys like Clampett who were amateur and college "talented" whatever that means but also had all the opportunity.
