    Default 2006 Champs - Oct 28/29 - Pac H, Bribie Is - Who's playing?

OK, I know it's still early but I didn't see one of thes threads around and thought I'd start it off. This isn't a discussion thread. It's just for posting your interest in playing at the champs. As they're in my parents-in-law's back yard I'd better make it this year. The best way to do this is to cut and paste the list then add your name top the end. If I remember I'll update this first thread to show the total group.

Thanks guys, I am annoyed but I just got out of hospital after 6 days of nil by mouth and lost 9kgs in that time. Plus my cancer is doing some funny things so have neither the energy or fitness to last such a great weekend

I have a couple of guys who have participated in ozgolf days in the past who lurk here and have expressed an interest.

whats the protocol on allowing them to play?

I'm happy to play in their group if it creates a problem.

No problems with them playing, but they wouldn't be eligible for prizes. We could just put those that aren't a regular part of our community, excluding spouses, in their own group/s.

ditto that. Ken & Moto have been to a couple of ozgolf days already and are both interested in the champs. Could always put your mates with my mates.

I believe the bookings allow for up to 50 people. If there's room I suggest bring them.

And can those wanting carts for sunday at bribie make sure they have voted in the relevant thread. So far it appears that we need only 3 carts? Could it be that after the saturday night blow-outs that most want to walk?

The un-needed carts will be cancelled this weekend.

Moe..........just list their names ( as Dion did) in the Staurday draw thread and I'll work it out - somehow.

these blokes won't require carts and won't expect eligibility for prizes.

however, I will inform them that I'd expect them to play both days!

Would have to say that Moe's mate Vas is one of the funniest guys I've ever played golf with. Had a great round with him and Moe last year.

Not sure. Wasn't game to ask why the nickname Vas. I'm sure there is a message in there somewhere.

    Vas is short for Vasectomy.

When you go to college, you are allotted a fresher name in your first year. Some stick and some don't. It's great fun in your second year sitting around with beers, naming all the new blokes.

mine was Tin Tin - luckily it didn't stick

Guys and girls sorry to say but I am out
I have a rotator cuff problem that I am having Physio for through work but unfortunately it is not responding and am going back to the doc later this week.I'm in a fair bit of pain with it and loss of mobility with my right arm is prohibiting me from a lot of normal work stuff that I do,I've even become a left hand wiper (too much info?).
I feel a bit piss weak after reading about Jaster pulling out and dropping all that weight but I know I'm just not up to playing at the moment let alone 2 games in a row.
Best of luck to everyone that is still going.
