Default Golf Bags no branding on bags please! - 8.5 mini staff wanted

Am I the only golfer who hates promoting brands?
Do golfers not see the issues with displaying brands on their golf gear as a negative? IMHO I branding in golf is too far over the top.

I am looking for a golf bag without all the BS, No markings, OEM Brands, ect at all in 8.5 inch. I have searched high and low and online but haven’t seen anything that comes close. In Japan they are called caddy bags or sometimes they got called mini staff bags here. If someone has a JDM caddy let me know please or see's something without all the crap I would be appreciated!

You're an angry man at times.

Do you really think your mates or other golfers look at you and say "wow, he's using that bag, I wanna be like him!!!"

Just kidding, if you want a non branded go to a Chinese fake website and ask them to sell you one without a logo.

There is too much branding. I find it bizarre that these brands not only want you to pay for their stuff, but use you as a walking billboard, as well. Hats, in particular, irk me.

I favour NX-G bags for that reason. The logo is only 10cmx3cm. (If you get a black bag with red or blue trim, it is hardly noticable.)

I use the stand bags, which are approx. the size you are after, with the added convenience of keeping the clubs off the ground / staff bag not toppling over.

Difficult to find anything about them on the internet.

Eagles and Birdies? or are you objecting to them having their brand on the bag as well?

Stretching my memory here, so don't torch me on the detail.

But a few years ago when i went into TGP in Oakleigh, they had some custom golf bags? Someone might be able to add to this....

Only have a few staff bags like these left. I would do it but that would only encourage me to drink a dozen cans a round again! Thinking that the 8.5 inch would be ok to only store 6 cans !

Definitely. Love going through the golf stores in Japan, some of the stuff is amazing. I think PTP sold some JDM bags on here ages ago.

Just took delivery of a Tourstage stand bag bought second hand off the evil bay, bit dirty and dusty and has a Woodlands member tag in a pocket, bit of a clean and I will be happy to use it.

For a former pro like CT, I agree that this is an issue.

I would in fact assume that he was being sponsored and was endorsing that brand.

Many elite amateurs actually get supplied, don't they?

Bag branding I don't mind, and I think many people would have got the bag as a bundled deal with the clubs they are using. My Adams branded bag contains Adams clubs. But I would feel a bit strange if I had no Adams clubs in an Adams bag.

Caps are a different story. I'm with AP on that one. Unless you are a fanboy with an entire Titliest bag and using a Titty ball, you shouldn't be wearing the cap unless you are being paid for it.

I might make an exception for those who have been to the fitting centre, even if they have subsequently abandoned the clubs. At least those people would have a story to tell about wearing the hat.

When you're using pro shop credit on a cap, you don't have much choice.

So by your logic, I couldn't go to a surf shop and buy a Rip Curl hat to wear instead because I am not a pro surfer?

It is kinda weird wearing licensed gear, and effectively paying to be a billboard for them. Happens with lots of things (like V8 Supercars etc) as well as golf.
