Ahhhh you see well then maybe it was perhaps discussed in detail and broadly in such a manner that a decision by consensus but with individual responsibility was taken in a manner that whilst timely but not taken without due respect for the gravity of the situation was arrived at -mutually.

The weekend of the 1st, 2nd April is the only one I am free due to work commitments and a golf weekend away planned last year on the last weekend in March.

TS - if your out there - would these dates be OK for our matchplay? I can't make the 2nd April - Mandy and I are starting our attack on the local mixed foursomes trophy.

April is bad for me - i could be away for the first week, so safest options for me are the March 20-somethingth dates.

Of those no real preference for Saturday or Sunday - probably Sat instead of bargaining on a double-golf weekend.

As long as I have a bit of advance notice to organise a car for the day I think I am fine for any of the days. FAMOUS LAST WORDS.

My price of admission will probably be Ping Jnr playing as well. Another month or two and he will be beating me anyway

Well it was bound to happen, but unfortunately it looks as if the majority want to play the last weekend in March. The joys of being a shift worker, I get 2 weekends off then work 3 at first glance to the outsider with my work roster. It just so happens that I'm in a period that means I am not free due to work or other commitments be it a golf weekend away.

I can play on any or all of the days, so I've voted for them all.

The final decision is up to Mrs Miro (or her delegated spokesman), but my two cent opinion is that we should play a Saturday, purely as we are more likely to get a good roll-up.

Those who miss out, like Grunt, can afford to miss one game. The overall plan was to have five games to give people the chance to miss one and still be alive in the tournament.

Last weekend of March is bad for me as well ...

Any chance of doing this the weekend prior? ie. 18th or 19th of March.

I'm pretty sure prior week is fine for me too, it's just that April is terrible. Unless of course we hold it at Casino GC over Easter?

I might be out over Easter as I am on call over that time. I did say might.....

But until those dates are included in the vote, I say we stick to what choices we have. Miro's, should we include these dates?

That was the plan Jim but with having such a bad round to start with I was hoping to use that as my dropped round and not miss any.
Oh well organisers/idea raisers of events shouldn't win them or people get all *****y about the rules and stuff.

It would be nice if Grant could make it so that he can play his match against Mrs Miro. I think we should explore the possibility of the earlier March dates ... ie. Sat 18th and Sun 19th. Can we possibly add these dates to the poll as well?

Sunday 19th fit my roster but don't just change it for me, if I am working or have something else planned, Tough Luck to me.
If a precedent for chopping and changing dates is set there will only be other issues raised at other events throughout the year. Noone will want to organise anything because of all the constant changes requested.

Just my opinion as you all have realised that the brain op has made pretty quick to be given.

Since the date hasn't been set yet, and we are still at the polling stage, I think it's quite reasonable to suggest a few alternative dates.

In the end, I guess majority rules.

I can vote for the saturdays 25th March, 1st and 8th of April, but it is subject to a major event at Windsor and whether I get that far.

Brad. I am available on most dates, you pick a date that is suitable for you and let me know. Otherwise, I am happy to play you at New Brighton.
