Ozgolf punters club - stage 4, round 2

It's time to kick off Stage 4 of the Punters club. We have $2565 in the kitty, divided among 19, $135 each.

New punters can join for a $135 entry.

Will leave it open until Wednesday 6/8/2014 6pm for new punters. After that I will do a random draw and we will be away again.


Rules:

1. A once off payment of $135 secures you a share in the club.

2. A roster will be drawn up and posted so everyone knows in what order they will be betting.

3. We will be using a Tom Waterhouse sporting bet account and everyone will have access to the login to see bets made, balance etc.

4. If you double the money that you have bet, then you can punt again the next week. i.e for a $135 outlay, minimum of $270 collect required to bet again.

5. Winnings to be distributed when everyone has punted, or we can decide to go again.

6. It is anticipated that bets will be a minimum of $40 and payouts for each bet should be at least $135. This will not however be strictly enforced, as to entice some of our exotic multi-bet punters in the ranks. (e.g having a $10 place bet on a horse @ 2.80, to win $28 is not encouraged.)

This is where Gambling collides with the Laws of Probability. In my experience, the more legs to your multi, the (much) higher the probability that one of the sure things will get rolled. I have tried the same type of Tennis Multis a number of times, and can't remember ever getting one up.

I don't follow any of the other sports, so it was always going to have to rely on tennis multis unless an underdog stood out to me.

I have a good record with tennis in general, but that is based on smaller returns.
