This one is better..

Or spending too much time on the 'new' swing and putting little time into short game. Hank Haney commented on the difficulty of chipping around those greens. Still looked poor though.
"Not making excuses but Isleworth is one of the hardest courses ever to chip at, u r always chipping off a tight lie and into heavy grain"
@HankDHaney
Tiger says that he's also been working on changing his chipping technique. Horrible results on that front.
Even i as a critic would take no notice whatsoever of today. The guys been off injured for ages and has been easing into changing his swing (and short game apparently) for about 5 minutes. I'll have a look how he's going a few tournies in.

His chipping today was laughable... Too much loft into the grain... Such a hard Frigging shot.
I thought the swing looked good... Very Haney like.
It was nice to see he had some distance control with the wedges. His putting was awful
Slow front nine but on a roll on the way home.
And we get to see skiing too.
Yay.
Doubled the last for a firm grip on last place.
I gotta say that his swing looks damn good and he was going after some of those drives today. If he stays healthy and works his tail off practicing he could be in for a good 2015.
At this stage the only thing that looks good IS his full swing. Even Jason Day commented during a press conference on day one that he hasn't seen him unleash like he did this week, actually lots of pundits have mentioned it. Might bode well for the upcoming season BUT...... He needs to work on the rest of his game.
I read an article today in the January edition of the US Golf Digest magazine comparing Tiger and Rory at age 24. (Tigers 2000 v Rory's 2014). One of the starkest differences was that a young TW 'lived' on the practice green which made him better than anyone that ever lived on and around the green.
Even as a fan I haven't seen him hit the ball like that off the tee or into the greens in a while. A bit of Venom back.
An aside point, I'm not sure Sunday Red works with Volt as a colour combo.
What is next on the Tiger schedule?
I wouldn't think he would play a silly season event, he doesn't get to play the Tournament of Champions, and he usually doesn't play the early California events. Torrey Pines perhaps? Which wouldn't be for about two months. That would leave plenty of time to work on his short (and long) game.
"There are 50 things to remember in the golf swing. Trouble is that I can only remember 49 of them" - Bob Hope.
According to the Full Monty, even if Tiger gets back to his absolute best it won't be good enough

Does anybody take Monty seriously?

^^agree, no one in the future will come close to what tiger has done.
