He's saying all the right things (again) and is hitting any shot he wants to on the range with control apparently. His driver swing looks very fluid and hopefully he can take all this from the range to the course. His short game should understandably take time to bed back in.

On the equipment front he's broken the internet, or is about to. He's realised the mighty Taylormade is where it's at for the driver and fairways now he's under no obligations and can play what he likes. Early indications are he will bag the M2 driver which is enjoying some crazy popularity on tour. He's also been spotted with a TM 3 wood and it should show up as well. I'm guessing the M2 tour, be interesting to see which variation if so. On the putter front the old Scotty Cameron will also reappear.

Edit - On the ball front he's said to be gaming the B330s.

There's no cut so hopefully he holds up over all 4 days.
    so still Nike (Miura) irons???

Reed V Woods head to head.
Surely Reed should touch him up by a few shots?

You know it's been confirmed by Tom Stites that none of Tiger's Nike irons were done by Miura?

I can't believe how lean Tiger looks. I've always been of the belief that he was juicing but now that his body has been breaking down & he's over 40 that he is finally concentrating on flexibility more than pure strength?

As someone who has recovered from a broken back, losing bulk and thus excess weight is the #1 priority if you want to have any athletic ability going forward. ESPECIALLY as you get older. As you say it appears he's finally realised it.

2 under after 14. He's above some decent names too. Hopefully he has an injury free run now and is competative again. Certainly a very nice start back.

Good comeback, but starting to get the wobbles up late in the round.

He has a swing flaw. Not transferring weight very well. All misses way left.

4 6's on his card today.

Yeah 12, same hole Tiger hit it to 5ish feet and missed the putt.

They're shorter odds than I would have expected. Easy money in the end.

Reed was in all sorts on 18. His approach was just short and rolled down the front bank of the green. He had a steep bank to a short pin a fast green off a tight lie. Bogey was odds on for most even tour players except maybe Speith.

Talked it over with caddie decided had to hit a spot on the upslope. Then hit that spot trickled onto green and into hole. Thanks for coming!
