    2) Set up a mishit tag, if you don't want bad mishits to distort your distance stats.

    3) When you download a round, you will likely need to do some slight adjustments of shots. The map overlays are usually out a little bit and some shots that were middle of the fairway, or green, will show as being well offline, and vice versa. Just note the length and then adjust the position till it shows FIR, GIR or whatever the actual situation. These adjustments tend to become a matter of course, and take very little time. I find it a good time to rewind my round in my head to make sure the stats are right.
Dave I have one fairway (our 7th) that I cannot get a FIR read on no matter where I position it on the software.
Is this common or should I email Game Golf and get their advice?

I had a similar problem with a couple of holes. Email support and they should be able to fix it for you.

Thanks. I'll probably keep going with my Scorecard stats for a while, since it has 5 years of data.

An anomoly that I keep striking is the data in the Insights - Off the Tee section. It doesn't always marry up with the actual round drive location, and the distances vary slightly as well? Anyone else noticed this?

Dave I hadn't noticed this and I have just been back in and looked at my last round and the positioning and length of drives looks ok to me.
I didn't however, check exact distances and compare them.

I've noticed a tendency for it to struggle with finding the fairway when I actually manage to get one there. Apart from that I love being able to see all sorts of different stats and it is nice to see confirmation that the ball is going as far as I think it is. I even remember to tap almost all the time now as well

I used it for the first time this morning. I didn't have too much problem remembering to do it. I tried to do it before the shot, but would do it after if I forgot to putt.

Things that I note from this morning's round:
    - Positions are a bit out
    - It decided that my 9th tee shot with 3W was my last shot of the 8th. The remaining shots of the 9th, got put as me playing the 7th again.
    - It can't handle a temporary hole. We have a temp hole to replace the 16th, but it is played after 18. It has these shots added to my shots on the first, which I played straight after since I started on the 10th. I'll probably need to send an email to support for that.

I'll go back and read this thread now.

    Questions after reading the thread:
    - Was there any conclusion on what is used for the average distance of the club? There was talk of 75th percentile.
    - Are you guys still using a seperate tag for mishits, punch shots, chips, etc? I used a separate tag for recovery shots today, but there there were several other shots that made contact with something reducing the distance.

If there is no solution to the temporary hole problem, I could just manually map it on the normal 16th, and adjust the teeing position to keep it the same distance.

So I just got home and downloaded my round and figured I would share this http://www.gamegolf.com/player/lmani...le_id=12659393 not sure if it will work but the round was nothing spectacular apart from the very first shot on the first hole, was about 40m offline but its the biggest shot I think I will ever record. There was a pretty big wind blowing straight down the hole as well.

I have tags for chips under 30m, punches, and also "hit obstacle". If I used a mishit tag there would be no data for my other clubs ...

Gents, keep an eye on your tags, my 9 iron tag has separated the screw piece and base is still on the club however the actual tag has gone

Take a photo and send it to them (support). I would be surprised if they didn't come to the party in some way.

I just did a count and I am up to 220+ clubs listed in my Golf bag selection! and some more to be added shortly! Game Golf slows a bit when loading data, not surprisingly!, but seems to handle it without any dramas.

Does that mean it is now illegal in comps? Or only if you have your phone?

From what I am reading you can now optionally tag each shot/club to your phone instead of the GG tag unit. You need to turn this option on in the 'phone app. It will then give you live data as you play. Obviously wouldn't be legal in comp, but you can still use the conventional tag unit for that.

Used the app for a few holes today and seems to work well. Being a complete hack it is good to be able to review my round. Lost a lot of shots around the greens
