So I'm wondering if it detects a swing in the same location as an actual tag, it ignores it?

I think it does. I'm sure a tag over rides the detection

Club distance display seems different on the web view? Is it now showing a standard deviation or something, there seems to be additional red dots at either end?

I'm guessing that it has an algorithm programmed in the software that only records distances on the last swing if multiple swings are recognized when standing over the same spot.

Red Dots have always been there (fairways missed), or are you saying there are now more Red Dots?

I meant in the horizontal club summary bars not the analysis page.

I think it is maybe showing Median distance rather than average? Or perhaps the Red Dots show were it has cut out outliers, and it is an adjusted average?

I'm not sure, it's just different than before.

I've just ordered a set of extra tags. Despite the fact that Gamegolf is now available for direct purchase in Australia, the extra tag sets are US only , so I've had to use a re-shipping agent. The set cost $49USD plus $12USD shipping (within the US). Not a particularly cheap exercise, but necessary as I have lost a few tags.

Here's the link of anyone else needs some: https://cart.gamegolf.com/store/activemt/en_US/cart

Will they combine with your original tags Courty? or are they a replacement for your current set? And how do you lose a tag other than by misplacing a club?

    The link takes us to your empty cart, not the product link;

Hopefully they'll combine so I have a handful of spares from then on. I lost a handful in one round a few weeks ago in Atherton. It was the first round with the new Pure grips on the clubs, so not sure if the grips had something to do with it. The one time one came off and I realised was a crap swing with poor contact on rock hard ground and I suspect the vibration up the shaft also had something to do with it. I actually saw the tag pop up in the air in front of me as I followed through, otherwise I would have lost that one too.

I have new grips on now so I will find out tomorrow if that's what caused the problem.

This looks to be the cause of the lost tags... the hole in the butt of the Pure grips is larger than the multi-compounds.

I had some pure grips on my wedges and never lost one. Could be a recent change?? Maybe some blu-tak?

That round in Atherton was the first with the Pure grips. They've been replaced by multi-compounds now anyway so hopefully won't lose any more.

I use Pure Grips and it hasn't been an issue for me. Having said that the hole in the top of Pures is a little large than the average other brand, but not a problem otherwise.

Ok, I officially want one. Courty, clicking on your link in the sig, I can't see the stats part which is what I'm most concerned with. Is that only for yourself to see?

You can see the stats on anyone you follow etc

After 11 games with mine I am really loving it. It's shown me where I go wrong and what I do well.

It's also fun to compete against others but also see when people play good golf.

I can't wait to see where're software goes next

Game golf got in touch with me last week to do a little bio on my use of the system. They've turned it into a blog post here.

Apparently there is going to be a second part to this - I did try and get a plug in to OzGolf, so we'll see if that makes it in to the next part
