I guess a good online retailer or from the game golf company themselves

I had a little hiccup uploading rounds on the weekend, but it seems to have sorted itself out. It appears that there was a firmware update that kept falling over. I couldn't retrieve rounds, and it didn't appear to be charging either. I tried it again after the next round and all was good, so I am guessing there was bug in the original update, that was fixed over the weekend.

I also struck a course where Google maps are out of date, and pre-date most of the current course (The Palms). It still recorded the round, but most of the FIR and GIR data is wrong. A check shows Google Maps imagery is over 6 years old.

Decent comparison between Game Golf and Arccos here. Arccos seems to be pretty pretty spiffy but you certainly pay for it. Bit of a grey area around using it in a comp in Australian conditions as well because it feeds you data throughout the round. Maybe you can turn that stuff off or just do it all after the round etc.

So I step up to the first tee today and I get red and white lights, cant tag ... I think that means no GPS connection ... any ideas? I think it might be broken Only nine rounds recorded!

Yeah red light I'm sure is no gps signal. I usually turn mine on about 10 mins before tee off.

Did you turn off and on again??

Mine worked on the first tee this morning and I could tag the driver, then nothing but flashing white light! Turned it off and on again a few times and the White light was flashing but couldn't tag anything......?

White is good. White only goes to white and green when you tag. Then back to white only.

The only time I had white & red was when I tried to tag too soon after turning the device on (hadn't locked in to GPS signal yet). I do recall seeing a list of what the different lights mean somewhere on their site.

Will it lock on anywhere on only on a golf course? I did try it too soon last week maybe that was the issue, but still got red/white at home

A little embarrassing..... Works fine! I was trying to tag clubs from the top rather than the bottom of the unit, appears to be working fine now!

Yeah for me who doesn't forget to tag, it's sometimes annoying to have to delete the shots. Not sure if you can turn it off. But I'm guessing there is stuff this thing can do that hasn't been launched yet.

The auto shot detection must work with the belt unit, rather than the tags (as the tags don't have anything in them to do the detection). As a result, you'd have to remember what club you used.

Also, not sure it would work too well for the Keegan Bradleys/Kevin Nas of this world who might address the ball, do a swing, walk away, come back, do a swing, take the shot, etc. They might have a lot of detected shots to delete, unless it is clever enough to ignore a detected shot if there is a real tag from the same vicinity.

Looking at the email it's just a tick-box that you turn on or off in your account settings.

Not sure, but I'd assume it would work something like the swingbyte where it's constantly recording and detects the swings vibration / mannerisms somehow?

Yeah I think that is what it does. I had a shot I forgot to tag in my round last week and it detected it. I didn't really put much thought into how it knew until now
