Thats actually a really good improvement, becuase now I won't need to tag twice if I think I may have forgotten ... I can rely on the device to pick it up. Certainly worked yesterday.

It's great they keep adding new features, this must have always been in the hardware but now activated in the software.

Hey I just noticed that Game Golf does it's own golf map thing on the iPad version ... Very cool!

The Support guys at Game Golf are outstanding! I have had a problem that my rounds are not showing up on the Challenges. It turns out it is because my course is only 9 holes and the system is not able to distinguish between the different 9 holes so I end up with 18 holes numbered 1-9 & 1-9. The support guys were able to de-certify games for me and duplicate them so that I can edit them to become 2 x 9 hole games. They are working to find a way to fix the problem but in the mean time have told me to turn the belt module off and then back on between the 9th and 10th holes.

I hope they can find a fix quickly, but these guys were responding to my emails in minutes and then acting on my requests just as quickly.

I wish I could go back and remove 2 drives from my first round that went into the trees and measured as 105 m each, it is really stuffing up my averages.

I overcame this by assigning one of the spare tags to "hit obstacle" so that if it is radically off distance because of this I assign it there.

That said when you have enough shots with a club I thought it ignored those at less than 65% distance ?

If I did this, I'd get a good average for "Hit Obstacle" but I would have no data for the driver itself

Haha nice. I don't use it for shots that drift into trees and the like ... Only where it is really a fundamental strike that renders the data pointless. I want my club data to show how far I hit my club on average without something like a tree taking 79% off ... That just skews the result

I have a mishit tag but I only use it for where I really screw it up (but I missed these drives when I edited the first game I played). I would have thought these 2 drives would have been ignored but they are not. Maybe I just don't have enough games in the system.

so for those that have bought gamegolf. If you could go back in time would you buy it again? or wait for more improved revisions or alternatives (arccos?)??

I've taken it out 3 times and have nothing! I'll let you know what I think when I've actually gone through a round and tagged even 80% of it. Unbelievably difficult to remember to do something so simple!

I love it. I had a round the other day without it and I was going to tag all the time. For me it's easy and I love seeing all the stats etc

Also the comps and things you can run makes it social.

And real club testing is good. Thought I hit my cleveland a lot shorter than the Adams but it's not too much shorter in game situation.

    Would buy again

Absolutely would have bought it. It is great knowing where my most common miss is and you can't lie to yourself about how far you hit the ball

Crap I was just reading the FAQ and saw this:

What will the annual subscription cost?

After the first 12 months, there will be a subscription fee of $50 for our premium service. We will also be offering a free subscription that will allow users access to limited features.

Premium service = no bugs I hope!

Sounds like more of an aspiration once they've got all the features working. At least I hope so.

Having said that I'm really only interested in the distances - all the other stats like GIR and accuracy % I could track myself if I wanted/had to

I have broken the belt clip on my original one. And made a request if the could get me a new clip and spring, which I offered to pay for. After a few emails back and forth, they have sent me a new device at no cost to me. Great service for something that was my fault

    Mine didn't work.

The computer just wouldn't recognise that it was plugged in.
The game golf support people tried to help by instructing me how to reset the unit but it still wouldn't work. In the end they told me to return it to the seller because they have no distribution in Australia.

Rock bottom golf were not so easy to deal with. They've received the unit back but have not yet approved a replacement even though game golf support said they would replace it.

    Now I'm just waiting.
    It's been four weeks now.
