Yep, that should work OK. I used a couple of rubber bands around the top part of the clip for a while and that worked OK as well.

Working with my Game Golf Classic is starting to get a bit hard.
    - It didn't upload my last two rounds.
    - I requested the creation of Oakey, and the automatic message back says it may take a month. A couple of months later, I've heard nothing, and the round isn't uploadable anymore anyway.
    - I would also like the ability to see stats on a specific hole, for example, I'd really like to dive down into how I'm going on the 11th at Wolston Park.
    - It feels like I need to request support for golf course creation on a regular basis. Maybe there is a lack of users around in general that would otherwise do that.

If this one that I have is now stuffed, I may have to consider Arccos, even though I would then lose all of my current data with Game Golf

Thanks Steve. I'll see how it goes in the next round. It may have just struggled with Nudgee since it wouldn't be a recognised course anymore in its current layout.

Support has been excellent so far, in terms of the stats it spits out I think it’s a no brainer. Essentially Shotlink for punters like you and I.

Lots of usable/actionable data, especially now it has completely moved to strokes gained analysis- in partnership with Microsoft cloud AI. One of the best thing’s is it actually identifies the 3 things hurting and helping you currently. That and accurate distance data. I’m a convert.

Can you drill down to holes on a single course though? The stats on Gamegolf aren't bad, and they also use Strokes Gained, but I'd like to be able to drill down more.

Yes and I’ve utilised it a few times. Take the 15th at Cairns (old 6th). Shortish par 5, 80m wide fairway at about 230m tightens up at 250 to about 20-25m. A few weeks ago my FIR% was down around 20%- trying to hit it too hard. So I throttled back and have been much better as noted in the %

Then there’s the 10th. Short 275m drivable par 4. I was hitting 4/5 iron right of the bunker but it was affecting my GIR% and wasn’t making many birdies- easy pars though. So now I hit driver or 3w EVERYTIME to enable an up and down for an easy bird. I think I’ve birdied it 4 out of 6 times recently- the other two I missed simple putts.

Where are those stats in the app? I can’t find them but maybe I don’t have enough rounds at any one course to unlock it.
Cinderella story, out of nowhere, former greenskeeper, now about to become a Masters champion..... It looks like a mirac.. It's in the hole! It's in the hole!

That's exactly the sort of thing that I would like, Bushy.

Do you just need the sensors and your phone? Where does the belt thing come into it?

Go to a hole during a round, swipe up from the bottom

The belt thing replaces the requirements of having a phone in the pocket.

I still review the phone during the round- mainly to confirm where the first putt was from - but mine sits in a cradle on the MGI.

    No problems.

The Belt thing eliminates a lot of issues on misreads- but I like to be specific with first putt length so I always check after every hole.

Thanks, Bushy. I had looked into it, but it wasn't 100% clear. It starts getting a bit expensive with the belt thing. I really don't know why Gamegolf didn't go with a subscription service.

My Game Golf device is dead, as the round upload gets stuck in building the round. It had a good life after being purchased from Courty years ago.

I'll investigate the Arccos a bit closer now.

It isn't your unit, mine are doing the same thing. I have lost the last two round this way.

My second one just failed, and I am about to message them.

They are telling me the Windows Transfer Apps is currently down and they are investigating. They said they will advise when it is fixed.

It's been like that for nearly two weeks. It also failed on the Mac, but I guess that's the same. There mustn't be many who still use the Windows transfer then. Just another cross against them.
