Things you gladly pay top dollar for
I think its fair to say that most Ozgolfers are quite careful with their money, if only to provide more funds to buy more golf gear. I'm comfortably in that group and can't understand why anyone would want to pay top dollar for golf gear at all.
But there are a few things that I gladly spend good money to buy the quality of merchandise that I appreciate very much. Meat and drink being the prime examples. I will happily pay top dollar for the best quality meat I can find, content to settle for a little less quantity in return for better quality.
Beer is another. I've decided that I drink for enjoyment and pleasure these days, so I'm happy to fork out $85 for a slab of Red Duck and drink half as much as I used to, rather than plough into the cheap $40 slabs and guzzle twice as much.
What are you happy to pay a little more for in return for some quality indulgence?

Good point on the shoes Dave. I only really wear golf shoes, RM Williams or thongs though.

Mouse and keyboard. Not to pay an unnecessary premium, but always upgrade from the shitty base versions to something that fits my needs. These are the things you use all the time when working on a computer it makes sense to have something that helps the process.

I was going to say shoes, totally agree with Daves.

Don't agree with that one Jarro. The $3.95 boxers from Rivers are all a man needs. How much are you paying for your leather g-strings?

Personal services.
You can skimp on the actual golf clubs, but its worth spending the money to get them set up right.

Shoes - agree with Dave. Nothing better than putting on a well crafted pair of leather shoes (including leather soles!)
Leather goods - I.e. wallets. Have had my current one for 6 years so far and shows no signs of wear. Everyday use, has been through the wash, thrown around and everything.
Suits - if not for the quality of the suit, then at least the alterations.

I appreciate well designed things, and as such i generally skimp on the rest of life's expenses to afford things i value.
1. I've forked over a fortune on quality bespoke furniture. But i only have 1 chair 1 sofa and an armchair. (plenty of people i know have 3 times the furniture i have, so i justify spending 3 times the price on the limited stuff i have.)
2. Clothes (special occasion stuff) not my weekend clobber. I'm happy to wear a $1 t-shirt in exchange for affording a Versace suit.
3. Seafood (I'd like o catch it all myself, but if i'm paying for it, i pay the person that caught it, regardless of cost.)
4. Knifes (1 good one is better than a draw full of crap)
And i'm the opposite of Jack when it some to red meat. Whatever is on special goes in the trolley. I only ever buy meat the day of consumption, somehow i figure that this balances things out... (and i dont eat much meat anyway) And i'll drive 20 mins to further to the butchers because he's got the cheaper meat.
Things i'll save money on.
Flights (i'll fly at shitty times or on dodgy airlines to save a few clams)
Hotels (Unless the wife's about, its cheap as chips for me)
Wine (I'll buy decent wine, but in bulk when it's on special - wine storage is the key to this one)
Cars (I like the very high end european cars, but can't afford them, so always 2nd hand private purchases)

Do you get to keep them that long?I'll buy a three pack and two singles will have dissapeared inside a month.

I agree with quite a few above posts so far.
Quality PC components - I always get the top shelf gear.
Shoes - especially work shoes, my feet are hard to fit for some strange reason.
Beer fridge - Samsung all the way baby, my beer is always perfect temperature

Most certainly beer, I don't drink to get hammered very often so I don't mind buying more expensive ales.
I am happy to pay extra for a meal if it is something special but so often in Perth you pay through the arse for shit. (Pun intended.)
That is about it really.
Might look into this rivers underwear.
