    Default European Tour 2014

I'd thought about starting one as I was watching some of the Open de Espana.

The most interesting man in the world with another timeless victory photo!

Just watched the replay of the last few holes and the playoff, Jimenez is a crafty old fox.

Just keeps getting the job done, Green had his chance, but after going through the green into the fluffy grass on the final playoff hole, he was buggered.

He's so cool it's not even funny. I really like the European Tour. It beats the hell out of the US tour when the big guys aren't playing.

He's such a dude. And now the oldest player to win on the Euro tour, now even olderer!

Miguel Angel Jimenez won the Spanish Open on Sunday after a three-way playoff to become the European Tour's first winner over the age of 50.

Jimenez extended his own record as the oldest European Tour winner at 50 years and 133 days old.

"There is no secret," Jimenez said. "Good food, good wine, good cigars and some exercise."

Jimenez beat Thomas Pieters of Belgium and Australia's Richard Green in a playoff after he was the only one to make par on the first extra hole. All three players finished on 4-under 284.

I agree, a lot more "characters"and styles on the European Tour, and a lot more variety in the courses they play.

Having said that I reckon I saw the worse putting stroke ever in this event. Has me ****** how Richard Bland manages to get the ball in the hole ever!

It's great watching golf without hearing people screaming 'mashed potato' or 'get in the hole' on every tee shot.

I think the pressure of expectations might be his problem.

    Default European Tour 2014

I'm so glad I stayed up tonight. What an amazing final round. So much drama and excitement.. Pretty gutsy for Rory to win after the week he's had. US Open in 3 weeks, bring it on.
