    Question Golf Shoes

I have finally decided to upgrade from the Oakley golf shoes have considering that they are now 2yrs old and have been through 6 sets of Spikes and have a few air conditioning vents in them.

Anyone got any idea's on some comfortable yet stylish shoes... under $200..

    Suggestions please...

    Cheers

adidas tour 360's, see if amart of vic park has them on special.

drummoind might have them sub $200 and also golfworks might do a deal with you

I've had Nikes for about a year now. They're very comfy. They were about $160 from golfworks. It depends what you're after. I like a fairly traditional looking shoe and also something very durable. the Nikes I have are probably a little too "sporty" for my liking. I'll go back to the classic Footyjoy style next time. I've heard rave reviews about the Adidas 360, but havedn't tried them yet.

If you're hard on shoes and have a fairly aggressive swing, you may want something more solid than whatever peter_rs wears...

BV, do you remember what MattM recommends? I just went over to ISG to check, but when I got there, I'd forgotten why I went....

I got the Etonic ones without spikes, but the rubber cleats are guaranteed to outlast the show. and i have not slipped in them unlike other spikes

    retail is $150

there is a picture of my shoes in Maccas shoe thread( whenever that was). of course i'll be happy to model them for you in 31/03/06

i don't know the exact model, but they were a classic footjoy leather with a heavy leather sole. Of course, being MattyM, they were polished to a high shine too.

    And he's a 'foot doctor', isn't he?
The fact that he wears a Titleist brand of shoe is a given, as he is that way inclined (not that there's anything wrong with that). But it's a big wrap for the Dry Joys.

Kez - I think it might be Grant or Virgal who has Bite shoes from Ben - http://www.golfcomponents.com.au/com...ies.asp?cID=75 - not sure if he can get ladies.

I'm happy with my adidas shoes - though I miss my Eccos which ran out of life.

i'd ignore the fact that MattM is an orthopod as his judgement is clouded by his brand loyalty.

    they are $200+ also

have you heard the story about him wearing the to work?

    anything footjoy
Gelfusions or the Classics especially, I've also hear good things about the Dryjoy P.R.O.
Addidas 360 looks great in you want something less traditional looking.

Keza, I too had the Oakleys for quite some time and there were great. However, there was a problem with the cleat threads (first production) which sound like a similiar problem to what you have encountered. I picked up a pair of the latest FJ's a few months ago and they are fantastic.. Going to order another pair soon.. Working in the industry I trust you have the contact but let me know if you don't.

Thanks Shavey, Yeah Matty and I go way back.... i have been having a look on the internet at the new styles of footjoy, mainly the mens styles as I find the ladies to narrow, and I don't know which ones cause they are all a bit blokey and te ladies shoes are a bit girlie...

Obviously working in the industry I can get them at industry rates... but I nothing just jumps out at me... I do like the LT Series , in navy, or the FJ Impulse in Brown

I think on it though... thanks for your input..

    Cheers

Indeed, what they all said. Although nothing I've tried has come near my Adidas Z Traxion Tours.

    Moe & AndyP,
I asked this seller what their shipping was for one pair and she said US$45. Seems pretty steep. The shoes were US$89.
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...DME:B:AAQ:US:1
    TGW has them for US$99.

You guys would need to buy from same seller at the same time to get any saving.

For one pair, shipped, that's pushing A$180. surely they couldn't be much more than that here....

I'm definitely getting this model shoe, so if anyone knows of any deals around, please let me know...

    Unhappy

I think that's too much for me to pay for shoes. I haven't even spent that much on any of the clubs that I have.
