Cool. I think the rule is stupid and the reason for the rule is stupid.

Thanks for clarifying that, for a while I was confused and thought you supported it.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but what is the reason then?

The following is from the guidelines.
9. We now have a 150 post limit for posting in the Pro Shop. Please note that limit is to get you involved with the Ozgolf community. Do not post boost with inane and ridiculous posts or consecutive posts just to meet the 150 post limit. This can result in you not having access to the pro shop.
We'd prefer it if people settled into the place before selling gear, especially those that treat it like ebay.

Some people only like golf for the buying and selling of gear. I don't understand why that is such a crime. What does it matter if it is treated like ebay? Why can't we, as adults for the most part, be left to make our own decisions in this regard?

As someone who reads a fair bit on here but doesn't contribute. I find it annoying not to be able to ask a question in a sale thread. Fair enough you can't start one but you should be able to post.
Cheers

It is a bit like group assignments at uni. Meant to build interpersonal skills and the like. In reality it is just a pain in the arse with no real benefit.
