Picked mine up today. Had a couple of swings and you can definatley feel the difference in weight to my rbz 2. Can someone explain to me how the shaft weight affects the club/swing? Still trying to learn about different shafts and what not haha

The longer the shaft the heavier the head will feel, the lighter the shaft the same, unless the head is light as well. To test this, grab your shaft halfway down and give it a waggle, you should notice the difference.

Unless you are a gun, remember that the golf companies match a shaft to head to ensure it plays it's absolute best from the shelf. Changing it around is dangerous if you don't know what you are doing.

I really rate the stock shaft....... There could be merit in lopping off a inch to minimise mis hits, but I like the weight and feel now.

Sounds like I'll have to give the stock setup a go on Sat then! 2 drivers and bench the 5 wood, perhaps.

Good idea. I hit 1 of 6 fairways and then hit 3w. Changing 27g in weight was too much.

I don't have a Jetspeed but I like the sound of this test. I might give it a try when I get home.

Had a tonk of the JetSpeed at Sharkys this evening, 9.5* stock stiff shaft. It's a pretty light stiff shaft, so felt floppy to me. But didn't expect much from the shaft. I quite like the look of the head at address, the graphics on the top look pretty cool, and it's quite a shallow face compared to the recent TM drivers. Straight up it felt easier to hit than the SLDR for me...with a solid shaft it should easily be a winner. I've got two solid drivers I really like at the moment (913D2 and Cleveland Classic XL Custom), so not sure if I'd get it. Although I do have a $25 Golfbox voucher, so I could grab one new for only $194... Hmmm...is it worth it lads? And then having to track down a shaft that suits me...

Would older tips like an R11 tip fit in the jetspeed head?

    No.

R1, RBZ stage 2 and SLDR use the same tip as the JetSpeed.
