A couple of weeks ago i saw 5 putts from both my playing parters. I'd never seen anything remotely like it in all my years. Neither putt had any fancy bend or ridge. Neither had totally given up the ghost either.

I was looking for this thread earlier this week! Last Monday I was 1 over through 4 holes before I 4 putted hole 5 for double bogey!! Can't say I can remember the last time I 4 putted.

I only had the 4th putt for the fans. I'd wiped the hole by then!

And that green was almost impossible to putt on

Checking in today for the 6th at Fleurieu. Surprisingly, I'd hit my 2nd shot into the boondies (as benno would call it), and could only chip out to the opposite part of the green to where the pin was, leaving me a putt that went up and over 3 levels to the flag.

highballin has the first wimpy effort on video, the 2nd was not too bad, leaving a short 3rd which lipped out, for a tap in 4 putt.

On the plus side, I still scored 7 for 1

It was a good chip from the boondies, and the green was huge and insane.

It was a girly effort for what would have been a well respected 3 jab though...

Checking in today. Par 5 second hole at RA two good shots second caught a bunker. Played a long bunker shot to about 20ft was basking in the glory then 4 putted. Actually picked up after the 3rd putt didn't want to risk a 5 putt. Other than that played pretty well.

It did include two pretty harsh lipouts that could quite easily have gone in.

Hanging my head in shame, had TWO of them today

First one I can tolerate as was on our 4th hole, a two-tiered green and of course I was on the upper level with the flag on the lower with serious left-right break, first putt was reasonable from where I was, but still shouldn't have taken another 3!

Second one was on the 18th, it was just lack of attention/crap! Reasonable drive, good 4-iron to be on in 2, walk off with a 6 from a green that's not too difficult to be honest - as I said, was just crap on my part. To make it worse I still carded 2-over for my round, and I think I know where I lost them ........... Grrrrrrrrr!

Was there a gallery watching from the clubhouse and jeering?

There are few things more humiliating than doing something horrible on or around the 18th green when there are drunkards watching on.

That's the bonus of being one of the first groups out, and that the green is too high to see onto from the seating area

Yes Jim good question. I know only too well the humiliation of f*cking up on the 18th green would hate to think Nadg had to suffer this
