    Default Squizzy's Golf Shop Review

I am down in scenic Albury at the moment and thought that I might take the time to visit Squizzy's Golf Shop.

I went into the shop with minimal expectations and I was probably still let down. I went into buy an umbrella which they have listed online and that was all good. Picked it up for a nice price. Just as well I wasn't really looking for anything else though, because the seem to specialise in crap.

I can't say that I have ever wanted to buy a synthetic mat to practice my fairway and rough shots. Perhaps I am missing out on something.

I was particularly impressed with the physics-defying tees that promise 4 extra yards. Glad they didn't round up to 5 because that would have been hard to believe.

The front of the store screams "quality retail", although to be fair I didn't notice any Brosnan crap whilst inside.

There were two staff at the counter who were busy working on cardboard boxes. One of them met me with the extremely professional "you right mate?". That was a nice touch.

If you want to buy second hand balls then this is your place, but if you are looking for the supreme retail experience then I suggest that you look elsewhere.

They did however have a handfull of bags.

Stick to internet sales lads, because your retail store is shithouse.

Squizzy joined here and was an arrogant spammer, so I've boycotted it since.

No. I actually remember mine was rooted before I got stuck in the rain.

I guess so, but you would need to BYO putter since they have SFA floor stock.

I stopped buying from Squizzy once I noticed that he jacked all of his prices whenever he offered "free shipping"

Just received the 60 balls I ordered from them and am happy with their shipping, price and quality. I went to the DFO at the Gabba the other day and thought I was shopping at Jack the Slashers.

    Best honest review ever.
Going from their decent website, I'm bitterly disappoint.

The website is predominantly loaded with crap gimmicky stuff that non golfing relatives buy you so it's no surprise the store is the same.
All that said they do have the odd useful/good thing(s).

I have never bought anything off Squizzy's. Their prices are never better than either GB or GCO and I'm not into buying second hand balls.

They are pretty good for gloves. Their shipping on balls is poo.

Ahh Brosnan crap....i had a brosnan 3 wood with the bubble shaft. Gold head to look somewhat like the TM version (except more like Brosnan). It was just as good. I loved that club.

Takes them about 2 weeks for delivery to WA, besides the slow shipping and unethical practice of raising prices when they have free shipping sales, they are OK I guess.
