I joined Cumberland in July last year off 6, almost 5 I think. Have really struggled to get into it ever since. Can't see me staying there much longer.

Not really, I have tried to though, just doesn't do it for me. Now they have two months of shotgun starts on Saturdays and the members seem to stay away in droves.

Wow, that is one of the dumbest things I've heard of.

Alright for the 12 o'clock players I guess, but unless you have a cart, who wants to walk to the furtherest part of the course to hit off and finish.

I actually think its pretty good idea because you can let more people play during the daylight. 36*8=288 compared to non-shotgun start 27*8=216
I had a bad experience where some people in our table on a medal day couldn't finish their rounds on one of the cloudy days. They started the round after 12:30 and by the time they reached the 16th hole, it was too dark to continue.

I agree having to walk to the holes at the other ends of the course to start your round really sucks but always better than not being able to play in the preferred time frame imho.

I wish I could produce that much lag. Isnt it what the most of us hackers really dream to have?

Seriously, judging by the photos, your backswing is of a pro quality. Your swing mechanics can't be the reason your handicaps is going up.

Have found that playing at a better course improves everything.
