    I wouldn't pass on it.

Wasn't Warney striving for single figures when he had the year off? He was getting close, I think.

I'm pretty sure Craig Gower and Braith Anasta both play off less than 6.

I think Braith Anasta is either 2 or 4 and he can play. Saw him playing in Macquarie Link few months back and he almost drove the green on one of the Par 4.

I've heard something similar about bill murray too. But that his hc is inflated cause he is such a drawcard at pro-ams they have to guarantee he is around for the weekends.

A recent golf digest (us) I have I'm sure has dennis quaid as the best celebrity hc. I'm sure he was very low single figures or scratch. Apparently james garner was real low singles in his more youthful days.

Sean Connery on 15?, well he used to be about an 7-8 when he was on Pro Celebrity, and looked pretty handy. I thought he was supposed to be getting better as he got older?

Jack Wagner on 3? He looked pretty ordinary when i saw him playing golf on Melrose Place, like one of those faked swings that we often see. then again that was a while ago i suppose.

Don Adams was reported by some golf coach to the rich and famous to be one of the worst golfers he had ever seen. Had a shocking hook, played off 30 something.

I played in a pro-am in Scottsdale that Jack Wagner was playing in back in his Melrose days. He was listed as SCR that day, but I didn't actually see him play.

That would be a serious ego reduction....Why do you think he got into so much trouble with gamblers in the late 90's......

He's maybe a 6 on a good day, I know a few guys who have played with him and they all say that while he's a great competitor and a good guy, he sucks at golf.......

Basketball is a different story though.......

I know Kenny G can play alright, probably off 1-2. Alice Cooper played my home course in Canada and shot 86 or something, not bad for an old guy, and Rob Lowe shot 99 at St. Charles..........He's terrible.....but a really cool guy.....

Saw him on payTV yesterday. He plays off scratch, and still hasn't had a haircut.
    Bill Murray is off 14.
    Mark Wahlberg was 7.
    Justin Timberlake 6.

    what is G69's handicap?

surely he qualifies as an aussie celebrity?

Wendel Sailor hits a long ball and was playing off 10 a few years back.

Punter is on single figures but can't putt to save his life.

I heard somewhere (prob on some cricket interview) that he beat Aaron Baddeley 4 and 3 in a fun warmup contest at The Lakes (Sydney) a few years ago, before the Australian Open was played. He must have made a few clutch putts that day .

Tubby Taylor plays off 2 left handed and is apparenty good enough for single figures right handed.

He's actually a right handed golfer (even though he was a left handed batsman) who can play a bit left handed. A few years back he was off about 8 at Pennant Hills.

Greg Ritchie plays a fair bit at Brookwater. He's an ambassador for the club. Think he's off 6 or something. Pretty handy anyway.

They said at the Pebble Beach pro-am that Dennis Quaid was off two, but after I had watched him hit a few shots, I will go heave! more like 22.

The AT&T event organisers allocate handicaps for each golfer for the event. They don't always line up to their regular handicap.

I saw an article recently about Greg Blewett who has gotten more into golf since retiring from cricket. Plays off plus two apparently and represented S.A. in an inter state teams comp.

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

Tea Tree Gully just won the SA Pennants for the 3rd straight year, Greg has been a member there for as long as I can remember, as has his Dad. Always been a excellent golfer, and has played a big part in the Pennant successes over the last few years
