Intersting seeing Fila Golf from Korea owns 53% of Auchnet Company the parent of Titleist, Footjoy, Scotty Cameron and Vokey Design.
Would have been a good buy 18 months ago, but I get the sense the growth will flatten soon. Best they can hope is for the current level of interest in the game to be maintained.
Then again, I have no data or golf business education to back that up!
TM is making good equipment again, so the investment is probably a good one
Getting behind the right players has also been a huge tick for TM, players like Tiger, Rory, Tommy Fleetwood, Robert Macintyre and getting rid of the dickheads: Sergio, Rahm, Day.
I’m sure Big Shot Bob MacIntyre will drive impressive ROI for the new owners.
Cinderella story, out of nowhere, former greenskeeper, now about to become a Masters champion..... It looks like a mirac.. It's in the hole! It's in the hole!
Apart from when Tiger was with Nike and they made a "thing' of Brooks playing unsponsored Mizunos, I have very little idea what clubs most of the punters use.
I may be on my own given the way they jizz over a WITB on WRX
LOL, don't they ever!
I only know because I watch some of the TM vids on YouTube. Seems they have the 'core' group of players that use TM clubs exclusively, and others that use 'mostly' TM clubs. Having said that, I would consider Tiger a core player... and he still uses his Scotty with a PING grip.
+10 million.
The sponsored players had nothing to do with the financial turnaround of TM in 4 years.
What is interesting is that Korea now owns TM and Titleist ( been like that a while) dominates LPGA tour, takes up all the bays at Gold coast driving ranges, books out all the tee times in Indonesia and fills my IG feed with mini skirt golf tips. Korea is just getting bigger and bigger
'nothing to do' is rather harsh, I think the recent marketing efforts (surrounding the endorsees) have aided the improvement, not directly accountable sure, but has certainly made its contribution.
Tiger is not an easy endorsee to deal with, his input has certainly made an influence on the improved product, the signature irons and wedges presenting evidence of it. Funny how Miura has followed suit making a Jack Nicklaus set of irons
I eat my words... TM just signed Sergio again #why

I think he switched his irons back to TM from Ping Blueprint and was already using SIM woods.
They must have got him cheap and he's still popular in Europe.
