    1.2m! What a luxury.

I am genuinely not sure I have ever jagged an NTP at a club comp. Not once. At the clubs I have been associated with, if you aren't within a few inches you barely have a chance of it holding up for the field.
Case in point: Playing in the last few groups at Wynnum lately, I am finding myself having to move the NTP marker pins for a putt, as they are always right next to the hole. I actually thought I was good for it the other week with a 10ft putt for eagle on the 1st at Wynnum, only to see that the group in front got the eagle before me.

I take it all back. Went for a visit and Pacific yesterday and managed to pick up an NTP on the 3rd that held up at 145cm.

NTP on the 147m 15th at my local over the weekend. Put it within 20cm, probably the closest i've come to making an ace during a proper round.

Question on NTPs, does any club have a maximum? That is, unless the shot is under 5m the NTP jackpots.

We have a bloke who goes out early, insists on putting down things like 18.35m, for some reason its annoys me, I thought the 5m maximum distance might be a good way of stopping him.

Not here. Anywhere on the green is enough. It’s not uncommon to see a C Grade NTP at 20m on a long green.

I don't think so. I have lost 1 or 2 though, where I thought 15+ meters wouldn't do it, only to find out no one else hit the green for the day.

Slightly unfairly ours aren't graded (suppose I should look at that)....…with a scratch prize as well its a single markers benefit, I guess offset by C graders dominating the 4 balls.

Nice shot on 17, made a nice double last time I was there

Remember we were talking about the eagles nest the other week?

I think 18 was B and C grade third shot (par5) inside a metre and 9 was for A grade second shot (par4) inside a metre?

Yeah, and they used to have one on the 1st going waaay back. I think it was the length of the flagstick from memory.

Think the numbers playing would be the first consideration, small fields the more chance being the only one to hit the green comes into play . Once you get over 75 players then under 5 metres to mark would be justifiable as long as the prize jackpots if no one does it .

Grades is fairer BUT it reduces the prize. On a busy day I think $40 is the normal going rate for a pin.

    A
    B
    C
    Ladies

I remember in the last 1-2 years the board made NTP prizes a standard % based on the number of players.

Is it also apportioned by the number of entrants in each grade, or does a lady playing in a field of 8 get the same as a B Grade bloke competing against 80?

Our ntp prize is a ball , doesn’t matter if there are 50 or 500 in the field

Given the 9 cap (until last week) I guess so, what's gone on, you were smoking it. Thought winter in FNQ would be when you made scores?
