I doubt that my shot on 14 to 154cm straight but short of the pin will last today, which makes me wish that I didn't tee up one step back from the tee blocks.

Hit a 5i to 34cm to a tight pin on the 18th at Liverpool. I was in one of the later groups. Thought I had it stitched for sure only to find out the next day I had been dusted by an ace. To the credit of the club, they still honoured the NTP prize.

Well done on a great shot but why did they have to honour your shot as NTP???

They didn't have to mrbluu, maybe they just felt it was a nice gesture to a visiting player. Good PR perhaps. Still yet to claim it, think it is 1 or 2 balls. Good on 'em. Ace man would get his honour board listing so it's happy days for all.

Solid! where was the pin near the back to let it stop? or bounce it in from the right to a front pin?

I had one on the 16th at Cape Schanck. 146m to the pin which was back right but just over a bunker. Slightly down hill with the wind hurting and slightly from the right. I took dead aim and hit the best shot I have hit all weekend with an iron, went straight over the flag and settled 1.5m away, rolled in the putt for birdie as well

St Andrew's Biatch in there somewhere (7 I think). Which was just before the irons decided they needed to go on a holiday and refused to work for the rest of the vic champs.

Haha yeah a gun with no short game. Missed the putt of course.

But it was a cracking 5iron with a nice draw landed about 3ft just short left of pin. Slight headwind from memory.

You beauty, another pro-pin NTP on the 9th at Ballina today. 304cm for $84.

More impressive was the way I did it. Shot was straight at the flag, but didn't quite carry to the green. It bounced about a foot short of the bunker, and bounced over the corner of the bunker, caught the downslope and rolled toward the flag at the back of the green. Usually that shot lands soft and takes a right hand bounce into the pot. Holed the putt, too. These things don't normally happen to me.
