1.2m! What a luxury.
I am genuinely not sure I have ever jagged an NTP at a club comp. Not once. At the clubs I have been associated with, if you aren't within a few inches you barely have a chance of it holding up for the field.
Case in point: Playing in the last few groups at Wynnum lately, I am finding myself having to move the NTP marker pins for a putt, as they are always right next to the hole. I actually thought I was good for it the other week with a 10ft putt for eagle on the 1st at Wynnum, only to see that the group in front got the eagle before me.
Ntp on 2 nd , surprised it held up was about 4 mts , didn’t get the putt
NTP today on 21st.172m 5 iron about 4 metres short left in perfect position for birdie putt.Lipped the hole on the attempt for a tap In par and a + on a shot hole

NTP on 6 at Kooindah today, 132m into the wind, 8 iron to 145cm. Didn’t even hit the hole with the putt haha.
Ntp on 19 th hole(our first) plays about 190m, 3 hybrid to about 80 cm sank the putt .
NTP on the 147m 15th at my local over the weekend. Put it within 20cm, probably the closest i've come to making an ace during a proper round.
Picked up two ntps today 6 th ( tad over a metre) got the putt , 11 th just under 3 mts (4 hybrid into the wind ) left the putt short
I won the NTP on 17 on Saturday... 156m to 55cm. Kakaaaa!
Question on NTPs, does any club have a maximum? That is, unless the shot is under 5m the NTP jackpots.
We have a bloke who goes out early, insists on putting down things like 18.35m, for some reason its annoys me, I thought the 5m maximum distance might be a good way of stopping him.
Think the numbers playing would be the first consideration, small fields the more chance being the only one to hit the green comes into play . Once you get over 75 players then under 5 metres to mark would be justifiable as long as the prize jackpots if no one does it .
Our ntp prize is a ball , doesn’t matter if there are 50 or 500 in the field
