lol thanks for the reminder - I had quickly filed that memory into the trash after that day...

Now just got to go play there again to use my credit that I won... perhaps a day can be organised there

    124m par 3, with wind coming from 2 o'clock.

Knocked a 7i to within 4cm of the NTP marker (sitting off the back left of the green).

Nope. Someone in the last group would have come in with 3cm.

In my first ever comp round, I had an elderly gentleman bunt his driver on the 175m par 3 3rd at Glenmore to about 6 feet just after I hit a 5 iron to about 10 feet. However he had no chance of being able to do that on any of the other par 3s given there was some sort of water carry to negoiate.

However I've played my share of brutish long par 3s where I can't imagine hitting anything other than a hybrid at weakest. I haven't played bluu's "favourite" par 3 at Eastlake, but the 10th at Long Reef is a rather lengthy uphill slog.

I had my best ever about 6 weeks ago ... 118m 14th hole, left it 3cm behind the hole. Closest I've ever been to an ace.

It was the golden shot hole not a regular NTP so it was worth more than winning the comp

Wrong thread mate. You need the "possibly won NTP by ozgolfers" thread.

    had 2 today.

par 3 9th, played at 167m. didn't quite get all of the 7 and got a very lucky forward bounce. finished up within about 3m from the flag, and didn't expect it to hold.

Par3 13th, playing at 145. 8i in, 1 hop and stop within inches of the cup. was pretty stoked with that one.

followed it up with the Long Drive as well.

I don't know if it counts as it was in a 4ball ambrose, but i'm taking it.

with a slight breeze and got a very lucky bounce off what must have been a sprinkler head.

Plus, it was only 163/164, i was about 3 or 4m away from the flag.
