I am on the same hole, nearly 100 metres away. The second picture is the riskier shot that cuts the corner across a whole heap of wasteland that you do not want to be in. Hit my best shot almost of the weekend, 3 wood off scrubby lie, to front green.

Warning, there may be some foul language in that one! Still have sand in my shoes, my feet were buried up to the ankles.

And I only know that because I hit a great shot straight at the pin which landed on the front edge and ran allll the way through and off the back. Mutter mutter, firm RM greens, my low ball flight, etc!

All the good players laid up to that spot. I think it was that hole, anyway. From memory my excellent tee shot landed a fraction short, and then rolled, and rolled, and rolled all the way back down the hill.
